Vigen is staying at MSU

I think he knows what he is has is very hard to find. He values coaching his 2 kiddos next year, loves Bozeman, & has one of the best FCS hc jobs in the country. The quest to knock off NDSU keeps his motor running, and he's closed the gap. There's a ton of money about to land at MSU. Oregon State may have paid him more, but not for long and then what? He's not 30.

A few cat posters on their forum are saying it's the same thing that happened with Wazzu, OSU wanted him to leave early (nothing to confirm or validate it however) and he said no.
IF that is true, then Vigen isn’t very smart and he doesn’t know how to play the game. The game of take the next job. Your previous employer is just that - previous. A school doesn’t roll out millions of dollars to watch you cling to your former employer. Why go through another round of interviews if you cannot get the concept through your head of “hey bud, we need you start like - tomorrow!” Don’t you think the first statement out of his mouth should be, “I just want to be clear that if I were to be offered the position then I would want to finish out the season with my current team.” Two answers and one of them he probably won’t like. Interview over and onto the next candidate. You think he would learn, which possibly he has. Announcement coming Friday at 2 pm PST.

I was just coming on here to state the same thing, just not nearly as well as you said it. Thank you😊👍.

The copium is crazy. If your coach decided to stay (Albeit no one wants to touch Hauck with a 10 foot pole) yall would be just as ecstatic after running the risk of losing him. Enjoy that 2nd round exit fellas. Wish we could’ve beat you another time this year. #pooorrrrgrizzlies

I think Vigen’s is pretty smart. Different things motivate people. Maybe they selected the other guy or maybe Vigen likes his current situation. Also, maybe the qb club came up with some more money for him. Whatever, glad he stayed. He will most likely move on at some point. Glad it is not now.
