Viewing options on Directv?

Music man you performed very well. I now expect our team to do as well. After following your very complicated & involved 3 pages of instructions. I (after hard study) also was able to order from some "robotic lady" but actually did not trust her, asked for a "real people" and did just fine. It took her (real people) almost 13 min. to consummate the deal, but we got her done!

I am now sober, rolling and ready for da game!

FYI - I managed to order the game on DirecTV for $25 without talking to any idiot phone reps this morning. I called their 1-800-GET-SPORTS number and when the automated robot lady asked what I was interested in, I said "PPV" and then when she asked which movie or event, I entered the number 791 (the channel the game is listed on). She then told me that ESPN Gameplan was the only event on that channel and asked if I wanted the full season package or just one day. I ordered it for the day and told her to charge it to my account and I was done. Much easier than actually talking to one of their human customer services reps. According to the friendly and wise automated robot lady, I'll have access to all of the Gameplan channels for 24 hours.

I was on the phone for about 20 minutes with customer service and the lady said that she could only order it for me for the year. I read sdgriz's post and had her transfer me to the automated service and I had it ordered in about 30 seconds. As far as the land line thing it always says that you need a land line attached to your box but I don't have one hooked up and I was able to get it last year. I don't know that you need that.

The customer service people obviously have an agenda... ROBOT LADY FTW!

So let me get this straight. Even though I am in Spokane at the moment and have reservations at the Swinging Doors I would much rather sit at home with my Growlers of Abyss and Black Butte XXIV and watch the game. When I looked this morning I don't even see the game listed on Game Plan but I do see it listed on ESPN3. When watching events this way in the past I have never paid anything to watch them. Is that not so for this one or is that just in Mt?

Game Plan Page

ESPN3 page

If that's the case I'm jealous!

Yeah, it works great and I am watching four games on the 60 in right now split. The problem is the Doors are about a good 15-20 min from here and I am not sure I want to take a chance and it doesn't work. Can't see why it won't but you know what I mean... :D

Thanks for the info. My wife called this morning knowing there could be problems. Sure enough the fool we got told us we could only do the three month package. I finally got on and got the supervisor who was dumber than the first guy. He told me his system didn't even have the game available. We called the get-sports number and had it ordered in 30 seconds. Unbelievable how incompetent they are.....

Having Problems-Called Direct TV on the sports line, as directed. Was able to get the Game Plan, but they say the Griz Game is not being Broadcast. For those of you who did sign up, did they tell you specifically that the Griz game would be broadcast???

Call the 800 number for game plan, channel 791 the 25 fee for the day covers channels 785-792 for 24 hours

It is on channel 791 this afternoon... the DirecTV employees are incompetent. Call their sports number & order it through the automated service.

Thanks a bunch... It worked this time. I had to keep repeating PPV as that wasn't one of the questions they asked. Once I did that things went well. But each time I went to a live operator, ( useing the sports number and than the general number) nothing good happened. If it weren't for all the E-GRIZ help, I'd not be watching........

The misinformation you get from these idiots is amazing. While the game is listed for GamePlan, I have now been told that this game is not available for pay-per-view or day pass; it's only available with the full season GamePlan subscription. I hope this too is misinformation for those of you that bought the day pass. F-it, I'm going to drive down to the 307. The bar bill will be cheaper than the $141 DirecTV wants. At least a little cheaper....

It's clear that they have an agenda & don't want to sell you a day pass...
