Could that be reduced for good behavior?
Or is his career done?
Isn't there state charges also pending?
Commish also suspends after he gets out?

30-31 years old when he's done serving time...comes back as receiver?
 
If prosecutors would have made a dent in the dog fighting that takes place in this country I would offer my congrats. As it sits...they found a high profile guy to go after....big fun and big news...BIG DEAL. I'm in no way saying he shouldn't be prosecuted but all the news about it...I don't know....either get over it or go after the rest of the dog fighting people. MV was but a small pebble in comparision to the rock pile that is dog fighting. Time to go after Mr. Notabigshot and put as much effort and recources behind the case. News programs and all. Probably wouldn't get the interest or the ratings so the dog fights continue....but at least that treacherous person MV is in Jail!!!!! :twocents:
 
Bronco, they said federal law states you have to serve at least 80% of your sentance.

Yes, it was a clear cut case of a celebrity getting a light sentance because he has money.
 
How much dog fighting is really going on? I have never heard of it much before the Vick case, but I know that there are plenty of people that would be outraged over it. They even have a tv show about catching people who don't leave water out for their dogs, so I know that there are plenty of people who would be interested in the story, if there was a lot more to it.

Of course wealthier people get smaller sentences. They get better lawyers. Would you rather everyone just got court appointed lawyers?
