Another very very good football player. Egbo will see playing time soon is my guess. He looks fast tough and smart!

Egbo is recruited to play CB. Has never played D, but talks with #GrizFB DB coach JB Hall Jr., and Nelson has him excited to join secondary

a 6ft 2in + 190lb fast Corner back?

i thought that was against the rules in the Big Sky?

Any speed times on Cowan ? Couldn't find any. Egbo 11.41 doesn't seem CB speed

Track times don't mean anything. Most football players only compete in half the meets and don't fully have their heart in it. If he looks good on tape, that's the best indicator.

Fast is Fast......there is a reason the combine measures their 40. And as far as tape...there isn't any of him playing CB since has never done it. I am not saying he wont be good....just seems strange to me. CB is the one position you MUST have speed to compete at this level.

Even 40 times are unreliable. Honestly, as far as measurables....there isn't much that is sincere or consistent. Film doesn't lie though. If he looks fast, athletic, and tough on tape.....then he's made for corner.

I like this guy. Never played CB, but he fell in love with Missoula, the staff, and liked JR enough to say he wants to be a Grizzly, in what soon will be the most needed capacity. That's what it's all about.

I don't disagree. The difference between 4.6 and 4.4 inside hte box is negligible. Outside of it, there is a noticeable difference between the two. That being said there are things that help a 'slower' DB play corner and do so effectively. I think Egbo has them.

I think guys who have soft feet and quick turnover or chatter with the feet can make up the speed difference. Egbo isn't fast, but I am not sure it isn't from a very vertical and foot driven stride. I think form running to get him to develop some explosion out of those strides is going to help. I really can see why they see him as a corner. He has some silky soft feet and the potential to add speed.
