Players earn minutes, they are not given to them. Take a look at Ward and Steward, two guys who have stepped up when given the opportunity and the result is increased PT. Autry is kind of soft, and needs to have the same mental toughness Cherry and Stockton have. If he doesn't, then it wouldn't surprise me to not see him next season. College athletics is no different than any other business.....ie...pay (scholarship) for performance.

I want to have your confidence in Stockton, but I have seen nothing to warrant that, so far....I would rather see Autry, and probably will....How great to have choices?

My confidence in Stockton? Apparently you haven't been reading my comments on him. I have said he is not a D1 player, but what he does bring is some mental toughness, which Autry has NOT shown thus far. I am a firm believer players earn minutes in practice, then need to step up in games when they get a shot. Thus far, Autry has not gotten it done.

I think its more than a little premature to say Aughtry may not be back next season. The kid is a frosh who has barely been in the D1 game half a season.

From what I've heard ( I haven't seen Autry play, and I've been to 3 home games), Autry seems timid still playing at this level, and hasn't impressed enough yet to earn his minutes. It sounds like he's a high character kid, so the idea of him leaving seems highly unlikely to me. I'd like to see him redshirt this year, if it's still possible, would be great to have him around for 4 more years!!!
