Van?

I think the general point here from me is I think we win with Canada and John anyway. So I don't worry about this game as much as the playoffs. Would really be a bigger blow to the team if he gets hurt only because he wasn't truly ready. Also on the note that we are not a National Championship team. NDSU would beat us but I don't think its a streach if a healthy Montana team made it to the Chipper vs. them. But we don't without a healthy Van.

What about the Clydesdale (Wilson) that runs ahead of him? His injury concerns me just as much honestly. The dude blows people up and we need him in the game for blocking. Any update on his injury? I would like to see both Van and JN making cuts off his blocks.

MD said he was practicing so I would expect him to play.

Gut feeling is that hes completely healed. Even the next week vs Eastern, he was cutting extremely well in the first half, by the fourth quarter he had a noticeable limp. It's been a few weeks now, he's a game changer, and he's fresh which will be a big difference, I remember what Moore did to them in Bozeman.

Don't want him to reinjure the ankle, but if he is ready to go then that's great. I have been worried about Canada getting injured since he is taking so many more snaps now, but with Van back it will lighten his load and help him avoid injury as well. It would be ideal to have all of those guys back and healthy for the playoffs.

a couple of these runs might leave a few Bobcats with sore ankles :thumb:

I have missed Van being out there, he is also a huge weapon as a receiver. He is our best running back in my opinion.

His receiving is what this team could use right now, dangerous short game to go along with Henderson and Co.

I agree! Get him in the open field one-on-one with a defender and one quick move and he can go big for yardage

And even with that Canada only needs 113 yds himself to have a 1,000 yd season. But I wouldn't put any player out on the field unless he's 99.99 % healthy. If the Griz win this weekend chances are they get a First Round Bye; pretty decent time to get everyone up to snuff, except maybe Wolcott, that I know of.

If you're going by the 99.9% then we'd be forfeiting the game. Everybody is beat up and I trust the coaches to get our best players the ball in a position to score.

He had 16 yards in 9 carries. He should not have been on the field.

Agree; hell of a receiver.

Maybe the most difficult thing this year is knowing we've had a runner like this sitting on the bench with a sprained ankle.

Please Lord let him be healed and healthy enough to help us decimate the Scats and then have several home playoff games. I truly believe that watching and being with Travon has made Canada a better runner and having the 2 of them tag teaming the opposition would make us the premier rushing team in the Big Sky.

Well, there is 10-7 to keep their numbers down. Hmmmm :D
