He played at Gavilan College in Calf. Not much info available on it's hoops program. It doesn't look like he had real big numbers though.

You got that right, The Gilroy Garlic Festival is a gastronomic delight. Ever heard of garlic ice cream? They have it.

Did a lil diggin on Van Vliet. Going on what I could gather from the Gilroy Dispatch website archives, it appears Van Vliet was lost to injury after the 14th game of the season. I could only find his scoring for 9 of those games. He averaged 13.3 ppg. I couldn't find much else.
