Young is a friend of the alleged victim’s roommate, and apparently had permission to be in the room at some point earlier that morning or the previous night, said Capt. Jim Lemcke with the Office of Public Safety.
“Based on the evidence, we didn’t feel we could prove the burglary charges,” said Clark.
The case will now go back to city attorneys, who still may pursue misdemeanor charges, Clark said.
