So we've got two regular folks editing Skyline reports after posting. I'm not the professional journalist here, but perhaps soliciting editor revisions prior to posting would be a help. Dearth<Wealth.

Watching game film on your upcoming opponent is for pussies, as long as we stick together. :)

actually yes, good execution is much more paramount than any gameplan. Ask any coach or player, half the time your gameplan ends up getting changed and altered in the first quarter anyways because guess what...the other team changed. So when there is an entire offseason and player changes....do you really think Valpo is gonna look even close to what they did last year? probably not. their sets will be similar and thats about it. Same thing with our team....our D will play a lot more zone now then ever last year, we will blitz less, we will throw more inside and run more efficiently.

Depth chart. A\

All starting o-lineman are over 300. Looks like nice young depth. Who knows something about the 2 backup centers? I'm not familiar with them.

Lee, the WSU transfer, at 2d running back. I liked how he ran in some practices and scrimmages, and thought he might get up there. He's fast, runs hard, can cut, puts his head down, and is hard for defenders to see.

Simis no. 1 at H, ahead of Horner and Bingham. Had seen Ferriter saying it started with Simis at H, but am still surprised that he went over the other two. UM is strong at that position.

With Strong out, the depth at safety appears a bit low. Colter says Strong is apparently out with an ankle, but I'm guessing that, as one or nore other posters have said previously, it's a thumb.

Olson backing up both outside backer spots.

Huge depth at d-tackle, and nice size.

Backers are the smallest I ever remember. 215, 215, 220. Strahm is 240, but out 2 games.

JLM and Eaton at kickoff returners. JLM returning punts.

Purdy beat out Semenza as kicker, at least for now. The long snapper, no. 61, can throw the football about 60 yards. Thought you'd all like to know that.

The receiivers are good with lots of depth. Now we need some of them to be great.

Only 4 senior starters on defense, with Strong and Strahm out.

7 senior starter on offense, with o-line, qb and H.

WATCH: GRIZ FOOTBALL 2017 - Griz post Valparaiso press conference - http://skylinesportsmt.com/griz-valpo-post-game-presser/

Valparaiso head coach Dave Cecchini is all fired up, has some very interesting things to say about his team's missed opportunities, Montana's defensive flaws and the disappointment of losing.

Stitt also has some interesting comments, particularly when asked "when you are still trying to figure things out offensively and defensively, how nice is it to have a punter like Eric Williams?" To which he responded:

“I don’t know what we are figuring out on offense and defense. We just scored 45 points, we were 5-of-5 in the red-zone, we had a tipped pass that should’ve been a touchdown, a few things that didn’t go right. But it was a pretty good day offensively,” Stitt said. “Defensively, we missed a couple calls. The guys were having a tough time communicating but those are quick fixes. Until we had the long one late in the game in the second half, they really had nothing on our defense. We weren’t figuring anything out. We had it figured out.”

Full video is worth watching. Reese Phillips has great media savvy and JJ Nunes comment about JLM was on point.
