VA sparkles in Duck's triple OT win

That was the Vernon Adams we remember in 61-55 win outlasting Arizona State. First time he's looked healthy this year.

Must be getting old. I couldn't stay awake for the end of this or the 14 inning World Series game.

Watched the highlights and am glad Adams did well.

I got emotionally invested and sucked into watching the whole thing till darn near one in the morning. Big-play did exactly what he used to do with Eastern and make stuff happen Man I'm glad he's not around to do that to the Griz anymore

Well, at least somebody stayed up. I wisely bailed at halftime. Some nice game clips on PAC-12 and Watch ESPN....no doubt about it. As Jesse Palmer noted ..."the guy is special."

Exactly. I really enjoyed watching him do this to a different team!! haha

Do we even have quorum for this meeting of "shootas" fan club? Pretty dam irregular schedule if you ask me.

ASU was robbed on the review of the last UO TD, although knowing VA they probably would have scored on the next down anyhow. We complain about play calling....How about ASU 1st and goal on the 3 in 3OT, running successfully all night and now a very tired UO D and they pass, not once, but twice and bingo game over. Four downs to make 3 yards against a poor and tired UO D. Crazy.

I was there and took this picture. My biggest take away was they hate the grizzz even in Sundevil Stadium. [emoji38]

But seriously. That game was epic. I've now seen Adams play live 4 years in a row, and that bastard has now beat the team I was cheering for 4 straight years.

I have the same thoughts you did. I'm a huge fan of VA but hate the Ducks and I thought ASU was jobbed on the last TD review. His foot was clearly out in the replays, not sure what the refs saw? I was shocked ASU didn't try to punch it in on the ground at the end as well. TD and the conversion wins it there, not sure what the thought process was, basically the same play back to back when the first one was almost picked...

Me too. And where are the posters saying he would fail miserably and he made a tragic mistake by transfering? The guy has always been a special talent; it wasn't just Kupp making him a star.

Three missed field goals did not help ASU,either..two of them chip shots.

Seems like I remember a situation where the coach didn't take the field goals and was pilloried for it. Now here is a game where they took the field goals and missed? Didn't think that could happen...

Among his 5 attempts, Gonzalez missed from 26, 51 and 54. Which two do you consider chip shots?

Oops, I forgot, he made one of the chip shots...but, 51 is not that unusual for this kid, from what the announcers were saying...it was a good game, no matter what.
