VA Chokes and other bowl cr@p

Virginia had a 14 point lead late in the game and then gave up 17 in the last 3 minutes to lose. They put in a true freshman who fumbled on a bloody screen play deep in his own territory.

But Texas Tech almost gave back the gift. Trying to throw when what they SHOULD have done was take a play to center the ball. If their kicker had pulled a Kaeding, THEIR coach would have been the goat vice Al Groh.

BTW, did you see that Michigan return guy that got bulldogged by the Florida kicker? He's not going to enjoy the film review session when they get back to Ann Arbor. That's got to be the best kicker tackle I've seen in years.

And what's the Rose Bowl thinking? Emerill with the coin toss? If they wanted a cook, they'd have done better with Rachael Ray, and she doesn't even like football.

I'm glad the Hoo's lost.. screw 'em. And my Cowboys pummeled them earlier this year. Plus I love watching Texas Tech play.. I like the run and shoot.

Michigan and Florida were crazy close, but Tebow didn't play a good game. Call it the Heisman jinx.. a Heisman winner rarely plays good in the bowl game after he wins. Hard to believe that was the same Michigan team that lost to Appalachian State.

Dude.. SH.. does the coin toss really matter? :)

I lost another bowl game...congrats to Michigan...never underestimate the emotion of players winning one for the outgoing coach.
Was a great game.

Interesting tidbit from the Rose:

In the 1984 game, incoming UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel threw a TD pass to outgoing UCLA coach Karl Dorell.

How interesting is THAT?

Are you two 'on a break' again?

USC=best team in the country...

and with no chance to prove it in a playoff... :lame:

Pretty dominate performance against the team that beat OSU.

I sure don't like all the chirping SC does...but that's the sign of the times.

It happened in the Michigan game too. What is with all that crap anymore?

If there were a playoff you would have to look out for both Michigan and Florida as well. USC might be the best in the country right now.

There will probably be a number of teams like Georgia and Michigan that feel the same way. Unfortunately it's all congecture.

There was more jaw jacking in the MI/FL game. The college guys see the pros do it.

I don't think they'll be watching any more film, the season's over.
