D2, NAU Can beat UNLV because UNLV doesn't have the same winning attitude that the Griz have. So there you have it. I like Bobby. I would like him to do well there. But I agree with outlaw that he's in over his head in LV. It's a shame.
One of the major differences in this team from the previous two is the marked change in attitude. All you guys are going on the past, just like the predictions. This is a far more dedicated, committed team than in the past, just like when he coached the Griz. I still call UNLV Griz South. 8-)
And everybody calls you an idiot 8-)
You don't know a damned thing, so shut up. :(

Hmmm ... :(

Someone might have an inflated opinion about Sac State. Considering that Colorado didn't look that great last week, I might give the Hornies at chance at home, but not on the road. (And I think Colorado State may be better than people give it credit for ... so the loss to them might not look so bad as the season roles on.)

I'd be surprised if Sac kept it within 2 TD. (I thinking somewhat competitive early before Sac wears down.)

Progress report: I like the spunk of those EWU fans, but I'm surprised they think the Eags can beat a bone fide 1-A program, just because they thumped a (God-knows-what level) Idaho team last week. Yes, WSU has not been very good, but losing to what looks like a pretty good BYU team is no reason to write them off. I think WSU takes out their frustrations on the Eags and win by at least 2 TDs.

I wouldn't go gambling any time soon.

I quit going to Jackpot, NV 10-15 years ago. And I haven't bet on sporting events for twice that long (and you can see why). Opinions are worth every penny ( ;) ) you pay for them. This weekend was sorta not "my finest hour".

Oh well, better luck next time. And BTW, hellavu effort by the Eags.

Thanks. Although I think I reflect our players sentiments in saying that the effort didn't matter, we expected to win and still lost, and we're damn pissed about it. Thankfully an early bye helps us out this year in getting Padron more time to work on his timing with WRs and memorizing the playbook, and healing up a few dings. The second WSU on the schedule is gonna be in for a hurtin'.

Wait & see, Indian, wait & see.
You might be right, they are looking pretty good against NAU right now. Minnesota looked pretty good today so maybe that wasn't such a bad loss.
How are you watching that game? Would love to see it.
Actually, I am only listening to it.

UNLV looking pretty good? There are less than 7 minutes left in Q3 and, despite out-gaining NAU by over 100 yards, UNLV has just a 1 TD lead. (And NAU is moving the ball ... although they're still in their own territory.) I'm no Hauk-hater, but this is not exactly a dominating performance for his team.

Several people were right here. I personally picked the NAU over UNLV but there were a couple of others including North Dakota over PSU, NDSU over CSU, and Sac State over Colorado. It was a fun day of games.

I totally blew the UNLV/NAU prediction:

1. Expected some progress from BH's program, especially playing a familiar foe
2. ASU must be surprisingly good; killed Illinois, too
3. Did not think Bauman would be available; 100+ yards
4. UNLV dominated yardage and TOP, but must be hapless at getting the ball in the endzone
5. Jerome's first win ever over BH
6. BH can't last long with this "progress"
7. NAU is always better early in the year
