The games for next Saturday include only one matchup between ranked teams, and the higher-ranked team is at home. Other than that, we have a lot of ranked teams playing cupcakes -- including #20 Central Arkansas, which is playing a Division II opponent that has a 1-4 record.

Still, there are some interesting possibilities. I even included Appalachian State ... mainly because they are at home and might just (finally) get their act together.

Too bad Rhode Island is so bad. I'd love it if they could upset UNH and drop them out of the rankings. How a 1-3 team can still be ranked is a total mystery ... as I said on another thread, their one win was against Colgate, which is 1-4.

SDSU is vastly overrated.
I agree, but I ended up voting for Ap St. I also believe Nova could pull an upset.
How many are voting for App State because they really think the Mountaineers can win ... versus, hoping they can.

Can hardly believe that somebody out there hasn’t picked Rhode Island over New Hampshire.

Yes, UNH has played the tougher schedule .. . but it lost to those tough teams. Their only win was against Colgate, a 1-4 team. The teams Rhode Island lost to were also pretty strong, having a combined record of 13-6. (The teams that beat UNH have a combined record of 12-5.) Rhode Island’s two wins were against teams with a combined record of 3-9.

So this matchup seems like kinda a pick’em ... but I guess not.

Funny, I would have said that the least likely upset would be 'Nova over Towson -- but that's now leading the parade. :?:

The Sports Network is not buying an upset of Towson, but Appalachian State is another matter:

... there are some bright spots for App State. Freshman running back Marcus Cox is already having a phenomenal year, in terms of both rushing and receiving. And this Samford defense hasn't held an opponent to fewer than 20 points this season. If App State's defense can hold up, this could very well be another Top 25 upset.

Prediction: Appalachian State 28, Samford 23

Congratulations!
... to the 39% of you who selected the upset of #3 Towson by #15 Villanova. (Still, we watched a lot of that game, and 'Nova did its best to give if back. )

The "sentimental" votes for App State (now 1-5) didn't work out so sell, however. :(
