Upset Guesses (Aug 24-31)

Don't recall why I did not include the game in the poll ... but I missed a bet:
At the half, SE Louisiana leads #6 Jacksonville State, 21-7. Lot's of football to be played, but several "pundits" have suggested that J-State might have a big drop-off this year.

The hype video was the first clue.

Not bad so far. Three games decided, with #6 Jacksonville State and #13 Colgate being upset by FCS opponents (-20 and -21 points). I expect them to be hammered when the first “real” poll comes out (and they should be).

Of course, #3 South Dakota State didn’t quite pull off the upset of Minnesota. However, all they needed was to avoid one of those big mistakes … and they’d have won. I expect #2 James Madison to get pummeled at West Virginia, so it would not surprise me to see SDSU switch places with JMU.
