Update on kitten coaching search

They’ve swung and missed now on Kane, Lubick, Drevno, Wilson, and Mcendoo withdrew name too. They are after #6 now. That’s not great.

But but but... MSU is an "elite" destination and they have "top tier" candidates. Too bad they're all using it as leverage to get a raise and stay where they are. Hahaha. They need to just offer Fisher and call it good.

We are holding out for a D2 coach who comes complete with self branded tshirts. Haha.

If not we’ll maybe settle for a mountain west special teams coach.

Yes, but they are still pre-season champs. So they have that going for them when they finally hit the bottom of the barrel in their coaching search!

See if you can find one that went 32-1 against BSC "competition" in his last 4 years and even if you could, could you get him to accept your job? There are good jobs to have and there are bad jobs to have. Feeling the exposure?

If the cats landed any FBS coordinator from literally anywhere at this point,, he’d automatically be best coach ever with cats fans and the excitement would be palpable. Isn’t Ragle “just” a special teams coord at Cal? Seems lots of kittens want him.

Seems pretty clear that both would reject the offer. When all the chicks you want to date reject you, and the only ones who will date you are ugly, well...

Pretty solid strategy using his record from twelve years ago given. 🤣🤣

Yes, his record in the same conference and at the same school. That's about as un-risky as can be, unless a coach was aged well into the past-prime category.

How about keeping a coach who was offered the head job at San Diego St a couple years ago, with a 7-figure multi-year contract?

Maybe they can get the Big Human back on the sidelines! 😉. Let’s get things back to normal....😂

Or his counter part from Seinfeld!

As a Griz fan, I hope they don't, but why do they not Make BJ Robertson the head? Seems to be one of the most respected coaches in Montana, Great recruiter and has head coaching experience. I truly wish he were on Griz staff.

I think it will end up being somebody already on staff. Just a hunch. I've heard they are requiring an outsider to keep the remaining staff anyway, (which is absolutely mind boggling). This process is looking a lot like a case of an AD in a bubble thinking the program is a much bigger deal than it is.

Imagine trying to sell that job to someone coaching at Oklahoma State or Nebraska: "Hey coach, we'd like you to move to Bozeman--the most expensive place to live in Montana. Why's that, you ask? Nobody knows. It's a balmy 6 degrees outside right now, but it should be a crisp negative 10 degrees tonight. Yes, Fahrenheit. The pay? Well, with the time you'll be putting in, it'll work out to around $4.50/hr. BUT, if you do well, you stand a great chance of moving back up to a job pretty much exactly like the one you already have."

They could have limited the "National Search" to four square blocks in Bozeman.
