Fantastic game despite the cool-down down the stretch! I was taking care of five kids tonight so I didn't get to watch as closely as I would like but the boys looked great out there and there was no denying the record! Congrats to these Grizzlies! Let's hope this record stands for another forty years or more!

Very proud of this program, and happy for Wayne Tinkle. I have said it many times, not a better man to represent Montana Basketball than Wayne. We are lucky to have him here, and hope he sticks around much longer than many are thinking he will.

I watched Henderson on the bench everytime I the camera went to the bench. I am impressed with his interaction and encouragement of team mates despite being suspended. He was still enjoying what the team was doing, and at one point even gestured to the crowd to get it going.

I hope Wayne notices that too, and Henderson is back to contributing for an NCAA tournament run.

Tinks:

First time we've played 40. But we got careless with the ball/

Points off TOs were key. But we were tired, especially mentally and it caused us to turn it over. But we played Great D and it was fun to watch.

Didn't give them good looks from 3. They shot 52 percent in the 2nd half, which we don't like.

Love our balance. Who are you gonna key on. Hutch was key. Key contribs from our bench.

Re the records: It's weird. We really haven't thought about it. We've got weber on Thursday. We'll enjoy for a moment. The record stood for 43 years. Embrace it, but keep your perspective. It says a lot about the charachter of our kids and our programs.

The number of 20 win seasons is great. It's pretty neat. 2nd longest W streak in teh nation. We've gotta stay focused and hungry. Haven't met a goal yet.

We knew we could continue to improve. We got sloppy with the ball. We cannot relax. We've got a lot of guys in the locker room who will not let anyone take a day off.

Crowd was great. Let's PACK this place for our final homestand. They were great today. Can't talk about hosting yet, but if we take care of our business, it would sure be great to "repay Missoula".



Wow. As Rule notes, there cannot be a better ambassader for the Univ of Montana than Wayne Tinkle. A huge thanks to him.

He had one offensive rebound as well, so 3 total. ONE foul in 18 minutes, as well. He did a great job about being aggressive in altering shots, but he was also in good position much of the time as well.
