I'm over the uniform sh*t... It was cool for a while, but as I watch Alabama march out on the field and assault people...I see the focus is still... and always will be blocking and tackling. I'd hate to have my team drop a pass because the opponents monochromatic helmet thew a titanic glare into the eye. It looks like U of O may get their chance against old school... I say the Ducks get a webbed foot shoved up their a$$.

Where are those sh#tty looking black and Texas orange rags we wore vs the Scats 2 years ago...? I heard we auctioned off the jerseys. If not I hoped we burned them in the campus boiler room. The chrome helmet is not just for Oregon anymore, Rutgers has a chrome one too. I hope Nike has some better unis for the Griz than they did 2 years ago for Griz Cat in Missoula, we looked like a highschool team!!

Nike is also tied in very well with the business school - makes quite a few hires from the SOBA's graduating classes almost yearly I believe, but yeah Sprunk is the main player I'd think.

From one crochety grampa to another, I agree with you. It is amazing that the kids think they are so cool but teams like Alabama, LSU, OK and several others never change their uniforms. So they must all be crochety old grampas also. I think the Griz should concentrate on recruiting kids that want to work hard, stay out of trouble and play for the sake of tradition and pride. Looking for players that will let them design the next cool super hero costume does not seem to be going to well.

I somewhat agree with that. I was a big fan of our uni's that we wore from in the late 90's and early 00's. However, I think changing it up every once in awhile is a good thing. After 20+ years of wearing a uniform everyday, I can say that wearing a uniform is a huge sense of pride. No one wants to roll out in tired old school duds, since I have been in the military we have changed our combat uni's 3 times and our Service Dress (what you sillyvillains refer to as "class A's) 3 times.
I also think doing something different for Griz/Bobcat is pretty cool. I think the fans like it and I think the players like it.
HOWEVER, I would NOT want Montana to be like Oregon or, God forbid, Maryland and roll out a new uniform every freakin week. Just my $.02
