Undrafted Free Agents (Coyle/Kistler/Poehls/Oiland)

Im betting Coyle will exceed expectations over the next several years in Seattle. I expect he will be on the 53 man roster and play special teams for his first season, and bet he cracks the LB rotation in 2015. I hope both he and Tripp eventually start. If so that would give us Coyle, Tripp, Biermann, Wilson, T. Johnson, and Mariani at the very least in starting roles, with many more playing special teams, rotating in, and playing on the practice squad. God its good to be a Griz!

Coyle is in a good position purely because of money. His battle will be with Heath Farwell as the backup MLB and special teams ace, and his lower salary means if he shows anything close to what Farwell offers he should be in good shape. I am not so high on him cracking the rotation in 2015 though. Coyle is strictly a MLB, and even though the Hawks rotate DL a ton, they do not do so as much in the back. I don't see him taking snaps from Wagner and Farwell played very few snaps. When Wagner was unavailable, they move Wright inside and used Irvin and Smith on the outside.

Noooooooooo!!!

Major congrats to Brock, but why did it have to be the Seahawks? :x
Why not the Seahawks? I actually was rooting for the Seahawks for Tripp but, to be honest, what players do the Seahawks actually need???
Because I'm a 49ers fan, and cheering for anyone on the Seahawks, even a Montana kid makes me die a little inside.

Hope he can make an impact, though.

I'd just like to point out that the mighty NDSU Bison only had 4 NFL signees compared to our five.

The power that is Bloomsburg, also had 4 including a 4th round draft pick.

That makes it seem pretty obvious how much of a difference a coaching staff makes.

Coyle going to Seattle is awesome. Really hope he can make the roster.

If he doesn't, I'm sure he'll find a place somewhere. I still think he's better than McSurdy.

Im just so proud of all of these young men. I cant wait for them all to represent the legacy of the Montana Grizzlies in the NFL! I know how hard my brother Danny Kistler worked to get where he is and it was an amazing sacrifice to get to this level. Great stuff! Go Griz and go Raiders!

If I remember the chatter correctly on EGriz several years ago... they are brothers. I wonder if he's the only "NoDak" native to be signed?

Of course you do, you're a cat fan.

I'm not sure who was better, they were both great. Coyle is faster so his game may translate to the NFL better. Its awesome to have that quality MLB's back to back. The guy before them, Beef Lebsock, wasn't exactly chopped liver either!

Vic, did you ever think you’d live to see the day the University of Texas did not have a player drafted (first time since 1937)?

Vic's reply:
If your favorite college team is underperforming and you’re not sure why, the NFL draft will tell you what the problem is. If a lot of players are picked, you’ve got a coaching problem. If nobody is picked, you’ve got a recruiting problem.

I read this today on:

and thought of the Griz.
