I expect he will be on the 53 man roster and play special teams for his first season, and bet he cracks the LB rotation in 2015. I hope both he and Tripp eventually start. If so that would give us Coyle, Tripp, Biermann, Wilson, T. Johnson, and Mariani at the very least in starting roles, with many more playing special teams, rotating in, and playing on the practice squad. God its good to be a Griz!
Coyle is in a good position purely because of money. His battle will be with Heath Farwell as the backup MLB and special teams ace, and his lower salary means if he shows anything close to what Farwell offers he should be in good shape. I am not so high on him cracking the rotation in 2015 though. Coyle is strictly a MLB, and even though the Hawks rotate DL a ton, they do not do so as much in the back. I don't see him taking snaps from Wagner and Farwell played very few snaps. When Wagner was unavailable, they move Wright inside and used Irvin and Smith on the outside.
