UNC game

Solid win. Ugly first half, but once the Griz found some energy, it was really NO contest.

They were talking about the conference race, regarding UNC.

Defense, and rebounding was great in the 2nd half for the GRIZ. I hope we see more the baseline traps, and extended zone defenses. Bad 1st 10 minutes for the GRIZ, Excellent 30 minutes rest of the way. I was a little disappointed the GRIZ did not have get more time for the youngsters.

Cherry, Ward, Steward, Selvig, Wood, and Jamar, all very solid games. Good W for the GRIZ!

Yeah, I'm sure you all are right. Chasing kids around I tend to miss a couple things. Was going to say you never know, but unlikely!

I kinda assume that when the griz were up 25 or so and they put in some of the reserves, including Deshields, UNC started to put up some points and really cut into the lead. Shortly after the starters were back in to finish up. The reserves had their chance and kinda blew it. Seems like Tinkle kept them on a really short leash.

That is why I was disappointed, they did not come through. I understand why Tinkle came back for the starters. Speaking of younger players, I like Weisner, more and more every game. He is composed, has a beautiful shot, and does a little of everything. He is true 3/SF, but getting minutes due to Reader being out. Meanwhile, Jamar, and Henderson are combo SG/SF types.

I really like how well this GRIZ team plays together, and that Cherry just won't let this team back down. :thumb:
