UM's campus improvement plan/new buildings

UM is getting ready to undergo a massive new project that could begin as soon as this summer. This includes a new dining facility where the food zoo is currently located, Knowles Hall dorm renovations (on top of all of the recent and current dorm renovations happening), music building renovations, library renovations, as well as some new signs and other things around campus to modernize it a bit.

On top of all that, they're very close to beginning construction on a new forestry building, and in the next 5-10 years, a massive renovation project to the UC. Exciting times at UM!

These are wise investments as enrollment continues to plummet? UM is overbuilt as it stands.

The investments will help facilitate a sale of the campus to the city of Missoula if enrollment doesn’t begin to improve.

The very blue city can impose a 14% city sales tax to cover it. Most Missoulians already consider it to be the University of Missoula. The State can take the cash and build a medical school around the most extensive hospital and MD infrastructure in the state and build a major university in Billings from a consolidation of RMC and MSUB. Billings State University. Here we come Boise St.!
