UM Vs NAU

Good win for the GRIZ. Took care of business on the road. Started slow, but that's somewhat to be expected for an afternoon game after the holiday break with 292 in attendance. It's obvious how much better this team is with a healthy Akoh.

As for pluto, yes box, we realize every team does their own production. But the video still started 4 minutes into the game, was in low def for half the time, the players had tracers attached to them for half the game, etc. And before anyone says anything about my internet, I have the highest speed available, and NEVER have any issues streaming anything else, and certainly never anything on a legit service, like ESPN3 or ESPN+. It's just that pluto is a shitty platform. But it's what the bsc brass spoon feeds us and I guess we're just supposed to sit back and take it like always. Which is why nothing ever improves in this conference.

EG, I don't disagree that Pluto is a horrible streaming platform, my point was that Pluto is not a production company. Plain and simple, the BSC is using the least expensive means to get games broadcast by using a combination of school produced content over a piss poor streaming platform.

What does it take to have a good streaming platform and could we do it.

In the past I had problems w/quality at the Pluto website so I tried yesterday to go to Big Sky Conference website & accessed Pluto from there & it worked Great except for the CRAPPY Camera work behind the baskets!

I also watched the game on BigSkyTV and had no issues. The broadcast started on time and no issues with the video. There was an issue with the audio though. While the game was going I had to turn the volume up to 40 (usually it is at 20) and when it went to commercial I had to mute it. On a side note...I think Mitch Strohman is the best broadcaster in the Big Sky. He really adds to the broadcast and is not totally one sided.

He is not one sided and is also knowledgeable. However, I wish he would cease yelling "BANG!" every time NAU hits a three! We did not have to endure it much in the second half, however! :thumb:

I drove up for the game last Saturday. I was a big confused as to why the Griz didn't key in on getting Akoh the ball in the first half. They certainly corrected that at halftime and ran away with the game in the 2nd. If Akoh stays healthy in conference, he is a conference game changer in the guard-centric Big Sky. The Creighton and U of Arizona losses would have looked better than they did with a healthy Jamar.

Good luck in the hoops, Griz faithful. UM, Weber State and (my dark horse) U Northern Colorado seem to be the cream of the crop this year.

Thanks MTJ. Glad you could make the game.
