UM Student Sexual Assault Required Video/Test

I just spent the afternoon with UM Professor of Social Work Danielle Wozniak, learning the FULL story of PETSA, the video tutorial that every UM student must pass with a perfect score. PETSA is an acronym that stands for Personal Empowerment Through Self-Awareness, and was put together to help address the issue of sexual assault.
At the end of the story, I pose a question about suspended UM quarterback Jordan Johnson, who through his attorney, said he wanted to enroll in fall classes.
I encourage all E-Griz visitors to read the story, follow the link and watch the video tutorials..then comment here.

Many thanks,

When you click on the article link in his original post, there is a link within the article "video tutorial" that will take you to the PETSA page on the UofM website.

You're welcome! :thumb:

Congrats on passing the test, Peter. I think UM has gone beyond the point of absurd in its response to a relatively small number of incidents and in doing so has caused an astonishing amount of self inflicted damage. I know parents of UM female students who now view Missoula as a high risk rape community. I know parents who have received no corespondance from Engstrom or anyone else at Montana that would lead them to believe otherwise.
Meanwhile, Engstrom rolls out unrealistic and impractical standards like this new exam, which isn't llikely to change any student's behavior, and his gee whiz goal of having every UM student study abroad.
I cannot justify continuing to donate money to a university this lacking in practical leadership. Engstrom needs to scale back his grand plans and just focus on going an entire year without doing further damage to the university.

Umm I'm having issues viewing past the article on my phone.

What was the question posed regarding jj? That he had taken the test?

And why were students upset with the tutorials? What was considered the misinformation?

Here is a link to the UM student required sexual assault videos, which require watching and taking a test with 100% to pass:

That url links to an article, not to the videos. The above url goes to the videos.

One of my students reported to me tonight that he watched it, and is outraged by what he described as a pervasive and irresponsible bias.

Well, I guess I will have to watch it.

I'm still a part-timer myself, have to take it as well. I think I'm going to try to get thru it this afternoon...
