UM Opts in to House Settlement

Just as long as it’s practice jersey only that’s fine by me.
Coming to football stadium near you soon.

I personally have liked that the FCS has felt more like the old college football recently and have become more of an FCS and less of an FBS fan as a result.
Ditto. While I'll still watch non major FBS, for the major programs I'm watching less and replacing more with the NFL.

If I'm going to watch professional football I might was well just watch the NFL.
This is where I'm at as well.

The article shows things are very complicated and will be a mess for the coming years. Montana’s strong program, historical and recent success, large attendance and good revenue, and support should keep UM up near the top of FCS.

I now watch mainly FCS, the top of FBS, and some NFL. Lost interest in non-top FBS. I like having the top 16 of FCS playoffs on tv.
I’ll watch Montana, maybe a top fbs matchup or Big Sky or Missouri Valley and the NFL. The Dakota teams are always fun to watch when they play against each other.

Service Academies remain pure...no NIL or pay-for-play...

Pick one of them to watch and cheer for in FBS. Most games televised on CBS Sportsnetwork. Fun to watch.

I am like you... have gotten away from watching P4... I watch Big Sky and D2 RMAC football for college along with some MWC. Streaming allows you to catch up on games that one might have missed.

So a question I also have regarding the opt in. Akem did a quick minute long vid on the DSA. But didn't go into anything deep. I would assume that a DSA can always be upgraded to a roster spot.

So if a frosh is listed as a DSA... can he stay on the team until he graduates college... as a DSA? If he leaves, I get that he can go to another college and still be considered a DSA. So another question... Can the new school go over the roster limit to take the DSA? (so basically allow for walk on)

Guess the question is will there be a bunch of DSA's floating around for the next few years?

The Air Force which has a base in Great Falls is a great team to follow. Their stadium has beautiful mountain views like Missoula. I have seen Montana basketball play at Air Force and it would be awesome for a Montana at Air Force football game to happen but it does not seem likely.
