UM has top players transferring in, Cats have top players transferring out

So did the Cats, and the game went down to the wire, lost on a last play that some people said should have been ruled a catch. Early in the season before some key injuries, the Cats proved they were right there on par with one of the best FCS teams in history.
Let lost 4 games, 2 to teams the GRIZ beat, got destroyed head to head, and lost their first playoff game.

I don't care how good the cats were in that game. You showed over the rest of the season that you were, in fact, not that good. It's never a possibility with you guys that SDSU just sucked that day (they did, by the way). Maybe we should have considered that their "NAU game" from last year.

Also, I'm not the one making the assertion that NDSU didn't "earn" their trips to Frisco fair and square. Generally, the top seeded teams tend to win a lot in the FCS playoffs. I'm not sure why that's so controversial for you.

Again, though, I applaud you for finding ways to cope and seethe about your team's performance last year. We went through it in last year's offseason, so I know how desperate it makes you feel.
That game showed how the cats can look with a healthy roster. So maybe you should care… Tommy got hurt that game after going 6/6 passing. We held their NFL qb and rb to 13/22 (worse percentage than the cats) for 184 and 12 carries for 66 yards.

Yes SDSU didn’t play their best game but the cats d-line totally controlled them.

So now we get to surmise how teams WOULD have been had they not had key injuries? Like, say to the starting QB?

Damn, and then that team functionally disappeared for the rest of the year, almost as if that's not who they were all along.

You said my team hasn’t won a natty in my lifetime, gris havent either. So what’s your point. The original idea was NDSU would get “carried” to the natty by home field advantage but they have WON all but one (2022) in the National
championship. My point is the gris used their home field advantage to get to the natty and it showed in the chipper. You can’t try to say NDSU did the same when they actually WON when they were at the neutral site. Very awful reasoning by you.

Yes SDSU was probably one of the best FCS teams maybe ever. But funny how the cats were up 10-0 at half and lost by literally inches. If you are going to praise SDSU you have to accept that the week one cats were very good. Obviously went on a downward trend with scheme issues and some injurie

Championships aren't won in week 1 (Or the preseason, for those 'Scat fans counting preseason national championships)

Just like backups aren't better than the starters.

Good point!!!! But that game shows how the cats are closing the gap to SDSU. No one ever said the backups are better but there is no doubt the cats have very good backups that give the team incredible depth that can shine in late season.

Name any teams that had significant injuries to their top players, we had Tommy, Danny U, Reimer, and Davis all get hurt.
UM beat Furman without the entire left side of starting offensive line. Griz had to play a TE on defensive line for a stretch because of so many injuries. Griz played without one of the best receiving TE's in the nation for the entire season.

Because you lost 4 games dude lmao

"How could a team that can't pass their way out of a wet paper bag and whose defense disappeared when they needed them the most be bad????"
Weird how we threw a higher percentage than NDSU’s NFL qb and SDSU’s NFL qb when we played them. Also both those teams have better wr and better secondaries. That perfectly demonstrates how the cats CAN throw it.

No no no, you're just making excuses. Only the cats are allowed hypothetical victories based on injuries. Come on.

But the left side of o-line wasn’t anyone incredible. Yes grossman was hurt but I’m talking about guys that played week one against SDSU for the cats who missed time throughout the season to demonstrate how injuries hindered the cats.

Seems as though maybe they should try closing the gap to the GRIZ....

Well they were good enough to roll up 450 yards of offense and 37 points against the Cats. Every team has injuries. Cats just couldn't win close games.
