I didn't realize we were giving up quite that much rushing, but there were a couple stinkers in there. I think they call that upside down in the lending business.

Good point.

UM's score defense of 23 or so points is 3d in the conference and is credible, but not great, nationally. In skimming rush defense against CP, PSU and ND, the top 3 rush teams in the conference, UM held CP to 75 less than it's average, allowed PSU and ND to go about 60 and 45 over its averages. In looking through the stats for conference steams, UM is in the middle of the back for most of the categories. One stat that jumped out was last in the conference for giving up sacks, at 24.

Maybe, but unless they plug up the middle anything can happen, Every team we have played of late has exploited it with both the pass and the rush. We seem to forget how scary ND was moving the ball. We seem not to have made much if any change. We simply are not forcing anyone outside where we are deadly.
