That Weebs board is a joke. The comments ended as soon as the game was out of hand. Expect more of that. There season in OVER!!! "We're a basketball school first". No, your football team is a joke, so no one follows it, and as soon as your basketball team is irrelevent, you'll attend more Tabarnacal Choir concerts instead of watching a sinking ship. If there was any doubt after Lillard went down it is now clear. Weber looked pathetic. They will be lucky to not be one of the 2 teams not in the playoffs. Rastatter went out of his way to screw the Griz. Tinkle was so pissed at Rastetter. You guys didn't even watch the game. Talk about clueless. There's always next year, Weber. buh-bye Now!

You guys are the biggest bunch of hypocrites ever, you laugh at how our board is quiet, but I remember a few years ago when Montana was not doing as well as they are now and this board was DEAD, everyone was on the football board, it is only now that Montana is playing well and winning games that this board begins to boom with the fair weather fans who are now just realising how good the team is.

Our season is not over, we just happened to start the season on the hardest roadtrip in the Big Sky, and guess what, our next game is at NAU. Weber has had to start off conference on 3 straight road games vs the best teams in the conference. If Montana started off with 3 on the road you might be seeing a different result. Dont forget, Montana still has to play at Weber, and at NAU and at MSU, you won your first 2 games at home, you still have to play 14 more games.

And I dont believe you have any right calling our football team a joke, especially when your great and powerful team with its great tradition lost to the "joke". What does that make your team?

Let's be honest: Your board is ALWAYS dead. Sorry, but you gotta call a spade a spade, and there just aren't enough weeb fans who give a shit.

And while our BB board is never as active as our FB board (which has more members than every other BSC board combined), it's always pretty active. There have been some years where the Griz are playing late into the playoffs that this board isn't very active in mid December. But it always ramps up for conference play.

And the complaints on your board about the officiating were still completely weak-assed and lame. That was a thrashing, and the officials made not a hair of a difference, especially when you look at the total foul and FT numbers.

NOBODY on our board was blaming the refs, hating a single certain ref and blaming the refs are 2 different things.

Selvig flops charge is called Cherry runs Bullinger over and goes to the free throw line, go figure.

Thats not blaming the refs, thats being pissed that completely obvious calls arent being called. Griz fans do it to as do all other fans of every other school.

If I remember correctly you all blamed your loss on Washington on the refs, so Montana fans are the only ones who can bitch about poor officiating? Like I said Earlier HYPOCRITES.

Would it have changed anything if they would have called all the over the backs? No Weber played like crap, couldnt make a shot couldnt make a free throw and they couldnt hold on to the ball they deserved to lose.

Maybe you should have shown the other posts and not just the select few that ref bashed.

Sounds like Weber is a bit jittery right now.

We just can't shake the injury bug this season.

Our big men look nervous playing against Quale? and the big 7 foot dude. Not taking it strong to the basket at all.

god this is exactly what happened against MSU, a lazy friggin pass by Bamforth turns into a Griz dunk and all our momentum is now gone.

Wow...the Cats look totally inept.

Somebody on this team needs to step up, we looked completely inept in the 2nd half, why cant anybody make a shot on this team?

we better get things straightened out, or like Montana just did, NAU will kick our trash up and down the court.

Two big reasons why UM beat the tar out of the Cats today: 1) Turnovers; I think UM had 15 points off of TO's and Weber had 2 and 2) Selvig...he had a great game. He was the reason behind the first half run that broke open a close game. Also, he did a good job limiting our bigs.

We had just 11 turnovers. Points in the paint though was 18 Weber and 28 Montana. Scott Bamforth played 17 minutes and Jordan Richardson played 28 minutes which I think is his career high. This might just be too many injuries to overcome for one season.

Its easy to post a few anti Big Sky ref post and say we are blaming them for our loss, but according to all the above posts, not one blames the refs.

Out of respect to everyone, reading and posting this thread, refs are part of the game. As my coaches told me, and what I tell my players. "If each of you and your team take care of business, official calls will not determine the game!!!!" (hard for me to blame the refs when a team gets blown out though)

Believe me, as a player and a coach, I have been part of and seen my share of calls going against my team. I too get pissed at certain calls or non calls. If I am part of the game though, I get more pissed at not taking care of business better, and know had we taken care of business, we would not have been in position to be finger pointing at refs to begin with.

On the other hand, some games it is obvious calls do not go both ways, and usually it happens playing out of conference games against bigger programs/schools. Montana and Washington certainly had that play out. I also watched the Weber State/BYU game earlier this season. Weber State got very short changed in that game, and they were even at home.

Usually in conference games, their are a few missed or bad calls each game, but very seldom do I see the call predominantly one way or the other. Most times, it is a slight edge in calls favoring the home team.

So can we get this thread back on track and talk GRIZ/Weber State basketball?

In defense of the WSU fans, you really never knew what was going to be called, sometimes there is consistency in a league, sometimes in a season, but in the Big Sigh you hope for consistency in a game -i t rarely comes. WSU fans had reason to bitch, but so did UM fans - such is the reality in the Big Sigh. Thank goodness next year we will change from the big Sigh to the Mondo Sigh.
