UM at Weber (Thurs 3/2)

Game definitely seemed to be over halfway through the second. Great job by the Griz for never giving up and playing great D that lead to good O!

Way to go guys!! That was GRIZ ball!!! Way to finish strong! This team is very scary to our competitors. If we can hit some threes, stay out of foul trouble inside, and rebound we can win the tourney? Go Griz!

Even though it is most likely the Big Sky winner will be in the play in game, the Big Sky tournament is wide open this year and if this game is any indication of that, UM could be the favorite. Wouldn't that be a pisser to the rest of the league..

Yeah baby,,got to play the freshman! Morehead POG! great D all game and 8 pts..if he can continue to get 8-12 it really helps but great effort. Guards going to the rack! Back on track even after some really bad calls-phantom fouls on Senglin's drives ..keep it up Griz!

So interesting scenario. Griz are now 10-7 and there are 3 teams ahead of them tied for 3rd at 11-6. If Griz win Saturday they'll get to 11-7. Cats and Weber (both 11-6) play each other so one of those teams will also drop to 11-7 and be tied with Griz battling for that 5th spot and a bye. How is that awarded if they each won against the other in conference? Common opponent?

I don't believe that to be the case.

It's a free country...but I watched ND tonight look awful, SUU downed PSU, MSU got UM on a down night, UM has played on some tough courts and done well. I think it might come down to UM and Idaho, as I don't think EWU is that good, so who is left? Sac State?

Kyle tweeted that for the Griz to get a bye, they need to win and either Idaho or UMSU need to lose.

I just struggle to think a team that is currently in 6th place would be considered the favorite.

Don't necessarily disagree but tonight they looked like a league leader, and, unlike other games this year where they led early, they were able to finish. Remember, one missed foul shout, one missed shot, and one two point near miss this team would be in first place. Hard to think any team would be the favorite on a neutral floor in Reno. Maybe, Sac State...Weber is taking a bus of people to at least make some noise..

Looking further, Montana wins and they get a bye. They hold the tie-breaker over Idaho, UMSU, and Weber.

This is signature road win for Travis career. He made all the right decisions coming from ten down with seven minutes left in the toughest venue in the Big Sky in must win game. Two of those decisions were giving Prichett the playing and having Bobby Moorehead guard Senglin.

Yes. If the Griz beat ISU, they're guaranteed a first round bye and the loser of the game where the two cats are playing drops into a first round game.

HUGE WIN.

A strong second half and finally, this team battles back from a late deficit on the road and finds a way to win. Finally.. Great to see Moorehead knock some down. If he gets in a groove, Griz are dangerous.
