I know the subject has been mentioned in the past. Interesting this has come out in this fashion.
I personally think it would be wise to look into to position ourselves for the future. Maybe the MWC gets raided by the Power 5. If UM was in a G5 conference it might have a better chance at the MWC or at least be positioned in a more positive spot if there is a big shift with upper FCS and G5 schools.
I also think we will see the P5 stop scheduling FCS games entirely and the G5 schools will be the non conference warm up games. I believe generally G5 schools get higher payouts playing P5 schools. This also seems that it would aid in scheduling to as we could schedule games with PAC 12 and MWC.
The below could be a starting 8 team conf.

At a point where they are prepared SAC, PSU join? Maybe if other BSC schools can make the transition they do? EWU, WSU?
I just believe to think the FCS and the BSC are our home forever is foolish. Look at the money UM is putting into the Champions Center. Why do that to be competitive in the BSC with school like UNC, SUU , ISU? Really why? Maybe we would get away from "big news" tweets from the BSC that turn out to be a total joke.
There is a reason that App State, GSU and and hand full of others made a move. They saw the writing on the wall.
