UI Vs UM

2nd half was pretty close for the first 10+ min., but Griz go on run to lead by 15 with about 7 min. left.

Even the announcers commenting on MT passing up wide open shots. ANd suddenly the 15 point lead is down to 8.

Cravens, the announcer, is asking the same questions many on this board do. Why do the Griz pass up good shots?

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY?????

Why do our big men just HAVE to put the ball on the floor before going up? That just cost us two points, and has cost us uncountable points this year.

And why do we consistently let them get the ball over half court before they have to pick up the ball? Why don’t we at least soft press the inbounds receiver? It extends the game at least 2-3 possessions, and those last 2-3 possessions have cost us a number of games this year.

I will repeat what I tweeted.

My take, no one has emerged as the guy that wants to take the shots down the stretch and the lack of any reliable inside offensive presence doesn't help.

from 15 up to a one possession game with less than a minute. This Griz team needs help in how to win games.

No Griz FG's in the last 4:19 but lead still at 8.

I should stop making these type of posts! The drought has swelled to over 8 minutes! Only FT's have saved us so far.

Well, at least they made their foul shots. In fact, the Griz won the game at the foul line ... 20 made for the Griz vs 8 for Van-Dulls. Very unusual ... but we'll take it.

This team drives us crazy as fans. But I can absolutely 100% guarantee that no team in the big sky wants to face this team in this tourney. When they play well they look like one of the best teams in the conference. Unfortunately playing well has has been a very rare thing for this team.

Such a maroon-colored glasses post.

Are you saying that teams would look forward to playing the Griz? The team who has won the last two tourneys? One of the more battle tested teams in the league being one of the only teams who has played all of the top teams? The team that beat a Pac 12 program and gave another all they could handle. These Griz aren’t as good as they usually are or have been in the past but they’re still dangerous, when they have their shit together.
