I don't understand the plus/minus thing. Bannan has a -6, with a stat line of 10 pts, 9 rebs, 2 assists, 4 fouls, 2 stls, and 2 TOs.
Parker has a + 9 with a stat line of 7 pts, 1 assist, 1 reb, 3 fouls, 1 stl and 3 TOs.

It is the difference in team scoring when you are on the floor. So the Griz have outscored UW by 9 when Parker is on the floor. UW has outscored the Griz by 6 when Bannan is on the floor.

Thanks for that astute explanation

Five Griz scored in double figures... they spread the wealth

Bannan had a double double... 12 pts and 12 rebs...

Will he be the Big Sky frosh of the year?

Impressive how they hung in there
Best night of making free throws than any Griz team I can recall. If they could do that the rest of the season, if there is such a thing this year, UM can take a few of their tough games.

Does someone piss in your Cheerios every single morning?

Does someone forget the Griz gave up a 15 pt lead in this game, twice?

And won the game by 8. That’s what some of us like to call growth for a young team. Obviously they won’t be able to bounce back like that against a pac12 team...oh wait

For point of reference in terms of pure +/- going into the UW game Parker was -1 and Bannan was -31. Seems pretty consistent with the season.

One thing that's impressive: Owens and Vazquez are the only Grizzlies who had lots of minutes tonight who played a lot of minutes last year. The Grizzlies are relying this year on a lot of guys who are new to the system. No wonder they have struggled early in the year.

Makes this win even more impressive when you look at it from that perspective.

...on giving up a 15 point lead...
...basketball is a game of runs...
...hope your run comes at the end...
...that is a marquee win for the griz...

... ...

So if I were a coach and I relied on those stats to help make lineup decisions, I wouldn't play Bannan much?

It’s all about adjustments and that has been one of Travis’s strength. UDub came out with a much more aggressive 2-1-2 zone in the second half, with some 2-3 zone thrown in, pressured the offense on the ball and made it more difficult to find the passing lanes. Turnovers also hurt us in the second half mostly because of the more aggressive defense. Watching this game over the last several years I felt the officiating was much more balanced and of course making free throws was one key to our win. I thought tonight was our best showing with 5 guys in double figures.
