I'd love to see it, but not pay for it. Same for our board of regents. They're not going to fork over the funds to make it happen anytime soon.

We just need to wait until a major FBS conference comes knocking on our door(s), begs us to join, and invites us to set the terms of how FBS football operates. That's it. There are no creative solutions. All of the schools that have moved up recently just got lucky. Like when a guy throws you the keys to his Lambo and says, "Here, take it. You deserve it."

As for the Montana schools, read this carefully: It. Simply. Can't. Be. Done.

SEC or B1G only. And only with a guaranteed autobid to the CFP every year for the Brawl winner. Shouldn't be a problem given how nationally relevant college football in Montana is. That must be what we're expecting given the fact that even fucking Dixie State is trying to find a creative way to leave us behind.

Montana's universities & fans are interested in national championships. The vast majority of other fcs universities are interested in paying the bills. Until the NCAA fixes the fcs/fbs divide you can't blame them.

The FCS/FBS divide will continue to widen as more and more good programs move up. NCs will be easier to come by than ever, just as they'e easier to come by now than they were 20 years ago. So, I guess the Montana schools will be in hog heaven.

Agreed. Not sure the offer comes though. THe real question is: If MSU gets the offer, are they required to take UM with them?

Not sure UM could accept the offer due to the current financial position.

Well, there are always subsidies available from the neighbors....you know a team that is actually competitive in the FCS. If they move - they can share their fortunes with the Griz...Just like UCLA will share with Cal.
