UAB Bags It

Could Idaho be next? When a bowl eligible team calls it quits, you have to wonder if the second-tier of the FBS is really a "move up" or financially stupid. Maybe visions of sugar plums dancing in their heads, like those in our "move up" crowd will save their program at the last minute. :?

It's a BBall school; you notice they had no interest in moving down to FCS. They could play Pioneer Conf. on the cheap, but no real FB interest.

UAB is overseen by the University of Alabama System Board of Trustees. The very strong belief by UAB supporters is football got killed by powerful trustees with Crimson Tide ties, including Paul Bryant Jr., the son of the legendary Alabama football coach.

So you hire a new coach... Attendace doubles and you make a bowl game Sounds fishy to me...
Whats really going on???

Are they going to lose $ 10 million like Connecticut did by playing in the 2011 Fiesta Bowl against Oklahoma?

If you get a chance the audio is gut wrenching. They had players yelling at the president on Espn radio at work yesterday. I can't imagine.

Would coach Clark from UAB be interested in the Montana coaching vacancy?? He would love the support the program gets and he sounds like a great coach??
