Dismissed from LSU for team policy violation, not a legal issue. Currently looking to play at an FCS school. Why not play for the best FCS program in the country? Wouldn't mind seeing him play for Montana. Your thoughts?
 
He's not eligible to play for the best FCS program in the country-- Jerry Moore's policy is a transfer must be in good standing with their current school;)
 
"reportedly failing multiple drug tests" Not sure what program needs that.

Mathieu is a corner; but as good as he is, I can't believe he will be a big help to an FCS team with the disruption, the history of repeated drug offenses and a reputation of not being a good teammate. It will say something about the program that takes him. McNeese.

You're probably right. McNeese took Cecil "the Diesel" Collins after he was booted from LSU. The Cowboys literally recruited Collins in jail.

This coming from the fan of a team whose returning QB is up on rape charges??? Collins was a local HS product, had one strike and he was gone. Janzen Jackson last year was mediocre, did not live up to his promise to the head coach and has now been cut from the Giants (good luck in the CFL). His father was the former DC at McNeese and he went to a local high school. TM7 was recruited by McNeese and was somewhat in the fold before Jackson stiffed LSU and went to Tennessee. Then LSU swooped up TM. It is all moot because I believe he will stay at LSU and try to behave himself for a year with the hope that he can return next year (anybody want to take odds on that one, lol). Regardless, the Cowboys (like the Griz) have bigger fish to fry and are moving on.

I mean, it's not like the Griz have never given a player a second chance. What was Bomars buddy's name again? :mrgreen:
 
From New Orleans, so I expect he won't go very far from home to pick up another school. Got to be close to friends, family, his connection(s).
 
Honey Badger is foregoing football this season and headed to rehab. Probably the wisest move he's ever made. Hopefully he gets his life back on track and does well in the league.

Amen to that. I guess from an observational standpoint we have too many professional, college and high school athletes that run away from their problems. If Tyrann is really going through with this, good on him. He could transfer from LSU to McNeese, ignore the problems and get drafted in the first three rounds and make a lot of money. That is the M.O. of a lot of people in his position. He is definitely going another path, and hopefully it works out for him.
