After TG accepted the job with the Cats, he was offered the DC job with Hawaii. It would have paid double. Two former UM defensive coaches were already at Hawaii by then. TG also had the opportunity to be the co-DC of EWU and the DC of an eastern FCS school. If you would like me to walk you over to the athletic department to get confirmation, let me know. Would be happy to do so. This information came straight from the top of the UM athletic department directly to me (and some other Griz fans, some of whom look at egriz). I would also be happy to walk you over to the office of one of these guys who was with me, when the top of the athletic department said this to both of us. TG also told me some of this, including the Hawaii opportunity.

To the doubting posters, please speak up and let me know when you want me to walk you over to the athletic department, or to one of the UM supporters who heard this too. He's in my building, so we would only have to walk upstairs.

Well, the Bobcats were in the RMAC at one point. Is that a plus or a minus?

Chadron State -- smaller than many high schools with all of 2,000 students -- is in the RMAC and walloped Stitt's Butt 9 out of 15 times, including a 55-0 stinker.

What is this RMAC of which you highly speak?

Well I competed as a two-sport athlete in the RMAC, have multiple friends who play or have played football in the RMAC, I've got good friends who are assistant coaches in the RMAC, and I've gotten to know several of Stitt's former players and an assistant from his time at CSM. In fact I work with one of his former defensive backs, good dude with a lot to say about Stitt, his offensive and defensive opinions, CSM and the whole conference.

From the top-down, the RMAC is the most competitive athletic conference in D-II. If you'd like to compare Chadron to Colorado School of Mines, I could give you some insight on both....
