Re: Recruit Ty Timmer Video

Again, Timmer has been offered a full scholarship by MSU. He was offered a good partial by UM first, and then MSU stepped up to offer him a full ride. My guess is that Ash was willing to offer a full ride, because he doesn't want to have to deal with the flak of losing such a high profile (due to his parents' prominence at MSU) recruit to UM. I can see why it may not be an easy decision. Timmer was raised a Cat and I'm sure his family would love for him to be a Cat. I hear he had good recruiting trips to both schools. On the other hand, I assume Timmer and his family recognize, at least deep down, that UM is currently a better program and it would be fun to play in Griz stadium and go to the playoffs every year. Timmer is a good student, good kid, and hard worker. He will be a welcome addition wherever he goes. I also believe he will find his way onto the field. I will wish him success and root for him no matter what color his jersey is.

Wait, your using player-rape as a source, no you have lost credibility.

Sorry but MSU didn't have the money to offer Ty a full. You can believe whatever you want but I know that he wasn't offered a full ride.

No one is going to believe you. So you're saying that Ash lied to Timmer when he offered the schollie? No that's pretty funny.

No I am saying that a full ride was never offered, remember that a lot of kids inflate offers from other schools when talking to fans/boosters of the school that they chose so I don't hold it against Ty or his dad if that the impression they gave you, but it didn't happen.

This is stupid, stop arguing about this bullshit it doesn't matter.

Thanks for the classy post on Ty, PR. He was a good kid and it's too bad it didn't work out for him. Luckily it appears that he's smart and has a bright future ahead of him. He's a good role model for all the players, it's just too bad the injuries took the game away from him.

boom goes the dnyamite again.....wonder if you have the courage to say it to Ty's face that he is lying about the offer

Back on topic, I agree!

The title, Dr. Timmer, has a good ring to it... or coach Timmer. He's got a bright future ahead of him.

Ty got caught playing the 2 schools against each other, I have no idea what the final offer from UM was but they contacted MSU threatening to go to the griz when um made the offer, MSU however did not have any money left at the time and couldn't up their offer, then Ty announced his decision to go to the griz. I know for sure that at the time he announced his verbal that UM's was the higher offer and I was told that no further offers were made after his public verbal.
