With KD's eligibility up and Jon Wilkins leaving the team, that opens 2 scholarships for next year.

With two more players leaving that opens a total of 4 scholarships.

As of right now, 3 players are committed to Montana. Although it looks like the coaches are hitting the recruiting pretty hard now. I'm sure Krysko will sign one more player, but I wouldn't be suprised if there are 5 new faces for the Grizzlies next year.

I will guess five with schollies and one "preferred" walkon (McGillis). Just a hunch. :D

I don't think Lynch and McKay have the selfish attitudes we are speaking of, but there has been lots of rumors about them leaving.

ESPN came out with a Brick Index to determine which players in the NBA hurt their team the most by clanking the most shots. The idea is that certain players are out to get shots and don't care how it affects their team's performance. They use other factors besides actual missed shots.

Just out of curiosity I plugged the Griz stats into the index. The #1 and #3 brick layers are the two that are leaving the team. Based on this, the move is apparently best for all parties.

You big Tease

2 thngs- first, from what I understand McKay has graduated or will graduate prior to next season. This coupled with his continuous injury problems would seem to be possible factors in his decision not to return (if that is his decision). New recruits are Ryan Staudacher (WA) Kyle Sharp (CA) and Austin Swift (CA). The GRIZ are probably also recruiting for the season after next. The 3 above recruits along with Strait, Martin and Hasquet committed to the GRIZ prior to their senior years.

the two players are Corey Easely and Lamarr Farr. I read it in the Kaimain today. Maybe McGillis can get a schollie in his first rather then his second year .like krysto is promising

Amen.

I'll miss those two guys, I thought Farr had a good chance to make an impact down the road, in a few games he really worked hard, and may not have scored a lot of point but maybe had a few key steals, or defense. Thats just me though...

Both of these guys will probably be strong players at an NAIA or D II school somewhere.

With Mathews on board and a couple good wings coming in the loss of Farr can be Handled

Truth be told though if I was Krsco I would rather have Easley on board for next year than McKay

I still have to wonder if Lynch and McKay will be back. It's hard to see Lynch getting much pt given the emergence of Matthews. The GRIZ really took off when Matthews began playing substantial minutes. If McKay will have graduated by next season and given his string of injuries, I have to also wonder about his return. It sounded from earlier posts like the GRIZ are looking at adding at least 2 more guys. This require at least one more scholarship.

If scholarships open up and McGillis doesn't get one, that would be completely ascenine. Griz would look stupid down the road. I guess Lorenzo Romar liked something about Montana, as he has called McGillis and asked him to walk-on and try an earn a schollie. COME ON GRIZ!

I like Brian, but he is never going to get enough playing time for the Griz and rightfully so. He would be a good player at NAIA.

If I was picking teams I would pick the Easley / Farr combo a lot sooner than the McKay/ Lynch combo, no questions asked.

" Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open thy mouth and remove all doubt" Cory E is the only one leaving who helps the team.
There may be 1-2 that it would be better if they left-they are not D-1
material.
