Abilene Christian and Incarnate Word are moving to FCS and will be new members of the Southland Conference starting in 2013/14. Seems like Abilene Christian will probably fit in real well in the SLC.

Incarnate Word has a ton of money pouring into that school right now particularly from a couple of guys with NFL ownership experience. They will have some of the best facilities in FCS in no time flat. It is a highly regarded academic school in the heart of San Antonio that is well regarded by Conservative Catholics.
ACU has feasted on getting NFL-caliber players for decades who failed to get into schools like Texas, Oklahoma and A&M. Having to play by DI rules will make it much tougher for them to recruit than as a D2.
Combined with the arrival of UNO, ORU & HBU, the Southland has a VERY different look now than it did just a year ago. Schools like Sam Houston, SFA, Lamar & McNeese stick out like a sore thumb in what is now left of the Southland. I suspect all four will be watching the next round of realignment very closely and could be shoring themselves up to become more attractive to potential suitors.
