I am glad to have proved a point. Moderator, take note.

whoops....forgot the sarcasm font.....

I guess every time someone is told they do something terrible....it is throwing them under the bus....I get it 75....you are going to take it the way you want.....and I am going to say you are wrong....how does this relate to BG telling the media that he played terrible after the UNDSU game....

What Stitt said about Brady in a tweet, is throwing him under the bus. Box, you are dead wrong on this piece of this one.

did he put blame on Brady or just state how he performed....that to me defines the difference...and in his tweet there is no blame.....he just realizes that they need to get better to win....

By any definition, whether a tweet or email, Stitt threw him under the bus. Look at the whole tweet, not just certain words. Who do you think he was saying that to? Look at the words. Not measured at all. Threw him under the bus. This influences my view of Stitt.

Compared to the national media of what went wrong? The strategy? The play design? Sure. Blame the players.

It was meant to be a private conversation. He effed up and it became public, that is on him and he has to deal with it. This is a far cry from him intentionally saying this publicly, and many here don't seem to understand the distinction.

Why is this thread heading off into a parallel universe in which Stitt intentionally critiqued one of his players on twitter? Stitt just needs to slow down and make sure he's in private messaging mode. Unfortunate mishap, but as pointed out ad nauseam, Brady already knew everything that was stated. I'm sure Coach apologized to Brady for accidentally making the comment public. It was an unfortunate mishap, but doesn't relate to Stitt's ability as a coach or integrity as a human being. Time to let it go...

Scarcasm font....I'm sure in the next coaches meeting he'll apologize to you.

You know that we all make confidential comments about other people, even those we care about, that we wouldn't want them to hear out of context. It's like one of those nightmare scenarios when you've accidentally dialed the person while you're talking. This stuff happens. Add it to the bad luck Stitt's experienced during his first year (he's had some good luck, too, of course). I just don't think you can deduce too much about Stitt from this. Now if he'd really reamed the player and disparaged his character, that would be different, but that didn't occur...

75 and PR, Stitt did not publicly criticize Brady or publicly throw him under the bus. He had a private conversation that accidentally went public. It shouldn't have happened, it looks bad, and he has to deal with it.

Stop acting like coaches don't critique players harshly in private conversations. I guarantee Hauck said much worse things in private conversations, but you are both smart guys and you already know that is true.

Stitt didn't just decide to publicly criticize a player. This was not a public statement. A private statement became public. It was a mistake, he will have to face it, I'm sure he will learn from it, but nothing he said was or is terrible for a coach to dicuss.

Who do you think Stitt was intending to talk to, confidentially?

My guess when I saw the tweet was a coaching colleague...

I'm thinking it's the drop down QB he's recruiting

Everyone that believes that Stitt threw BG under the bus in that tweet are making assumptions...if you read the tweet...it says that Brady was terrible at UNDSU and he is looking for competition at the position...it doesn't say anymore than that...people are adding there own context....

Maybe, bu I doubt it. Seems like a conversation that you would have in person with a recruit. By the time they are talking to a recruit on Twitter, you would think that player would I ow the situation. I still think he was talking to a coach, but we will never know...

so where exactly did he "blame the players"....

Might as well bring back Delaney. I mean really, if some posters have this much of a problem with Stitt, which is being blown WAY out of proportion, then Delaney should have never left. He never criticized his players, didn't cut players, was all about mediocrity and by golly people liked him because he was super duper nice.

Stitt has a championship mindset.
Delaney has a "well at least you tried" mindset.

Take your pick.

Delaney was about excellence, not mediocrity. You don't have a clue. Don't post stupid stuff.

Because kicking off both halves in a game, taking a knee at the end of 1st halves with plenty of time instead of being aggressive and trying to score, boneheaded coaching decisions, etc. just screams "excellence"...

I see 75 and his Cat buddies are trying to put words into Stitt's flubbed tweet. 75, isn't it pretty telling that everyone is laughing at your spin except for LTCF, BigSky33, and the other Cat trolls? By the way, where exactly does it throw BG under the bus?

See, above, in case this is really tough for you.
Saying that, this bothers me. Not a fan of putting down existing players in a dialog to recruit new players. He also needs to be smarter than to have recruiting dialog mistakenly put out to the public.

So the argument is "putting down existing players" and not "throwing them under the bus"? I wish we could keep this straight.

75, have you ever talked negatively about any of the players performances?
