Yeah Brady struggling had nothing to do with NDSU knowing the snap signal, completely stopping the run and abusing the offensive line.

Let's call a spade a spade. NDSU"s defense out played our offense. Secondly in the second half when we did move the ball and score what did we do but get to the red zone and try running again for the first two downs. I think responsibility falls all across the board from the coaching, play calling, and execution. Those things happen in all games. Unfortunately in this case it happened to us.

Obviously competition at all positions is necessary and I would conclude Coach Stitt feels like the level of competition at quarterback is less than desirable. I don't think he is saying Brady can't do it but Brady also needs competition at the quarterback position.

Maybe we should have some competition at the coaching level.

They do....it is called the hiring process....

Followed by the season performance test.

This 100%!

I'll give you Shan and Marc but JD? That guy was complete trash guys in the locker room didn't like him and he was trouble off the field. I don't think JD is worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence of complete class act players like Shan and Marc.

JD brought an attitude that the team fed off.. guys like that are rarely liked.

Along with a few DUI's and tons of baggage from Oklahoma, we would have been just fine without that guy ever stepping foot on our field.

You mean one DUI in his life? If you think our OL would have been better off without him you would be VERY wrong. Who do you think was opening the holes for Chase Reynolds? He was the most talented player on our OL during his time here.

Why don't you apply?

This happens, especially after a few beers. Sent the wrong text to the wrong girl on more than one occasion. Well once it was the wrong text to the right girl and that actually worked out pretty good.

What is the big f***[*] deal? Everybody on planet Earth knows there is not a qb on this roster meant for this offense...Everybody also knows that Brady is either smoking hot or ice cold. Is it unfortunate that he made public a conversation meant to be private? Yes, it is...but he didn't say anything demeaning....just said his qb struggled in the playoff game. Brady is lucky he didn't tell it how it really was, struggled is the understatement of the year.

Maybe Stitt should have also said, in the interest of full disclosure, that the whole offense was stuffed by NDSU's defense, meaningful adjustments were unable to be made, and his offense was very ineffective against NDSU. Brady knows and admitted he didn't play well, but the struggle of the offense was much greater than his weak/bad play.

If some of my texts that were meant for private ever leaked....i'd be a fucking dead man. I say some shit that I wouldn't want people I work with and for to know...Is what I say true? Yes, but I'd probably word things just a touch differently if I knew people not intended were going to see them. People say different things when they think they're in private, just the way it is.

As far as the UNDSU struggles on offense....One of the following happened:

Entire offense struggled,
Brady struggled and it affected the run game, or
Run game struggled and it affected Brady.

Doesn't matter, FCS football is over and has been for 2 weeks. Just matters that they get it together for the start of next season...

I have sent/posted things on accident many times where I didn't want the recipient(s) to see the content, or at least it wasn't intended for them but I'm terrible with this "new" way of communicating.

Tough deal and a little embarrassing for coach and maybe player for sure. I don't have an issue with what he said (as long as it was meant to stay private) although the blame certainly doesn't fall on one player or one member of the staff. It's possible the blame is more distributed in his private conversations, and he very well may have taken the responsibility of making a poor decision himself on more that one occasion.

Just the perfect storm I guess.....could be out of context and was never meant to be scrutinized by the public. That's his fault (Stitts) unless his son was meaning to have a conversation about fantasy football with another kid and accidentally pushed the wrong buttons.

Maybe the players should tweet what they think of the coaches, or of the coaching performances in games, like NDSU. This is addressed at some of you that think the coach ought to open up competition and bring in lots of transfers. What do you think? Good idea?

I guess if they are fine with the fallout.....not sure it would be a good idea on their part though....and are you saying that an open competition is bad....

Geeze, how many threads is this about someone misplacing a tweet? Get over it people.

Does anyone really feel Brady is the absolute perfect QB for this run and gun offense? I sure don't. I give him all the credit in the world for what he has been able to learn in such a short time and I feel his immobility is holding the offense back. I see no problem with Coach Stitt looking to replace any player to improve the team.

The nice thing about being the boss, is you can say whatever the fuck you want to say....so can the employees.

I think if the players think that would be a wise move, more power to them.....

BTW, Bobby always said it was an open competition at every practice...did that bother you then?

Transfers, take em or leave em, sometimes they work out, sometimes they don't.

This. Come on guys.

I don't necessarily have any problem with what he said, but that's the kind of thing that you really can't have getting out to the public, especially after his rant about Twitter and social media in the press conference.

I'm still a big Stitt supporter, but this is pretty damn embarrassing.

Coach needs to work on his DM game, for sure.

This reminds me I need to figure out how to turn off that feature on my phone that reads the text to you while you are driving. It doesn't always understand when I says "cancel!.…...cancel cancel!!!!!!"

I want to bring a guy in to compete. My sr. Started first 3 games and got hurt and came back last two games. Played terrible in 2nd playo...
Not what the "sports world" is saying.
The Grizzly OL were often busy chasing the DL around or looking to stop the stunts from resulting in penetration, which meant that the linebackers were running free to the football. The two backers combined for 19 tackles, eleven of them by weakside backer MJ Stumpf who was regularly left alone in the box against the Grizzlies' trips formations. ...

An offensive line for an Air Raid team like the Grizzlies is generally very simple with their schemes and they don't always spend a great deal of time teaching blocking techniques and extra play wrinkles for dealing with teams that try to out-scheme the run game. Generally when they get into trouble their team is designed to pass their way out of it, but the Bison's focus on DL play and versatility up front allowed them to make hay and allowed what happened up front to impact what happened out wide.

The Bison essentially called Montana's bluff and dared them to beat them running the ball on a five man box while using stunts to eliminate their own disadvantages in taking on that challenge. Montana had no answers and their backs only had 23 yards on 15 carries.
Not a fan of "blame the player." At some point, the excuses run out of players.

Actually, I'm poking fun at some people, and agreeing completely with you on this subject.

He did not blame the player....he said that he played terrible....he said he wants more competition....

No, a coach can't say anything he wants, particularly publicly. There are large downsides and fall out from that.

And bosses certainly can't say anything they want. That has legal and other consequences.

Big difference between what a coach says to players at practice, and what they tweet, presumably behind their back, about them.

I don't care of the coaches bring in a transfer QB or not, but you need to talk to your QB's ahead of time and privately if you are going to do that.
