Life only gives you what you are willing to accept.
Nothing more, and nothing less.

If you are OK with an 8-4 season, there is no need for change.
If you want to win championships, accept nothing less....kick ass and take names.
Fill the roster with kids who understand that their job is to be the "baddest asses" on the field, and who don't get their feelings hurt if they receive some criticism or have to compete with someone who wants their job.

That's how you end up with the "baddest asses" on the field and trophies in the case.

Who wouldn't want a team full of JD Quinns, Shan Shillingers, and Marc Marianis?

This 100%!

I'll give you Shan and Marc but JD? That guy was complete trash guys in the locker room didn't like him and he was trouble off the field. I don't think JD is worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence of complete class act players like Shan and Marc.

JD brought an attitude that the team fed off.. guys like that are rarely liked.

I gotta agree with box on this one, and I've been fairly high on Stitt. It's not necessarily bad or surprising that he'd say those things to a recruit, but for fuck's sake, Bob, lrn 2 Twitter. :x

I don't know why everyone is upset. He meant to throw the player under the bus in private. He didn't mean to throw the player under the bus in public. I mean, really, he was only talking bad about Brady behind his back. Nothing wrong there unless you're a kid in school. Then that's bad. And look both ways before you cross the street.

Along with a few DUI's and tons of baggage from Oklahoma, we would have been just fine without that guy ever stepping foot on our field.

I wouldn't say he was throwing Brady under the bus...he was relaying that his QB struggled at times and he wants more competition at the position....it is just unfortunate that a private conversation became public.....

"Terrible" has a different connotation than "struggled"

Sorry, sugar isn't going to help this one.

What is the big fucking deal? Everybody on planet Earth knows there is not a qb on this roster meant for this offense...Everybody also knows that Brady is either smoking hot or ice cold. Is it unfortunate that he made public a conversation meant to be private? Yes, it is...but he didn't say anything demeaning....just said his qb struggled in the playoff game. Brady is lucky he didn't tell it how it really was, struggled is the understatement of the year.

I'm not sure there ever was a private conversation.

Maybe Stitt should have also said, in the interest of full disclosure, that the whole offense was stuffed by NDSU's defense, meaningful adjustments were unable to be made, and his offense was very ineffective against NDSU. Brady knows and admitted he didn't play well, but the struggle of the offense was much greater than his weak/bad play.

Either way...he doesn't throw him under the bus....does the tweet pin the loss directly on the QB play.....nope....he just says the QB was terrible and he want more competition....LTCF...I don't expect you or any other Cat fan to see it differently than you do.....but someone saying they want more competition because the starter played terrible is just that....

Not true on Quinn. He was liked by most players, and loved my many. He wasn't trouble off the field--just was a big talker and attracted press including negative press. By the time he left UM, he had one DUI in his life. With the likes of Quinn, Russum and Horn, UM would still be playing.

The point is that a coach should keep that in-house....and unfortunately it was made public...I don't think most people will argue over the content....I honestly wouldn't be surprised if BG is the only returning QB on the roster next season....

Yeah Brady struggling had nothing to do with NDSU knowing the snap signal, completely stopping the run and abusing the offensive line.

Let's call a spade a spade. NDSU"s defense out played our offense. Secondly in the second half when we did move the ball and score what did we do but get to the red zone and try running again for the first two downs. I think responsibility falls all across the board from the coaching, play calling, and execution. Those things happen in all games. Unfortunately in this case it happened to us.

Obviously competition at all positions is necessary and I would conclude Coach Stitt feels like the level of competition at quarterback is less than desirable. I don't think he is saying Brady can't do it but Brady also needs competition at the quarterback position.

Sounds like Stitt has some balls like a couple of great coaching legends, Bob Knight and the late Herb Brooks. Neither were afraid to challenge their current players by bringing in new competition for spots on the roster. Perhaps the new school "everybody gets a trophy and the coach should be your buddy" generation needs a crash course in the reality of life.
People get replaced all the time:

"Well Steve, you were one of the founders of this company but the board has decided to go in a new direction".

"Gee honey, I realize you've been with me through the ups and downs over 30 years, but I've decided Im moving in with Mercedes...my new 23 year old secretary, formerly a performer at the East Laurel Ballet Club and Truck Stop".
I know Mercedes personally, she has high mileage, good on the curves but performs like a Fiero.

I just assumed you were her daddy....not that there is anything wrong with that....
