Thanks, Grizbeer for the info -- I've seen SWX listed as 8.2 on the KULR 9 programming listings and, you're right, Dish doesn't pick it up. But it's still not clear to me WHO exactly CAN see this channel. People in Billings with cable? Anyone outside of Billings? My point is this -- "Cowles Montana Media" is being touted as carrying Griz/Bobcat games this year. But, if half of the games are on SWX which very few people in the state can actually see, then it looks like we've taken a step backwards in television coverage. Or, am I missing something? Just trying to understand exactly how many people in the state of Montana can see a Griz game when it is carried on 8.2 SWX.
I think Billings is the only city/station moving the game to SWX from the regular broadcast affiliate. It is scheduled for the ABC affiliate in Missoula Saturday.

The Great Falls ABC station has it listed on their schedule for Saturday as well.

I went back to the paper and it does say KFBB cable 22. I have dish so when I looked at it all I saw was KFBB 2 which is fox. My bad, I edited my original post. Thank you!

Anyone know if that alternate Altitude channel will carry the game on DirecTV again?
most likely not, as its on espn gameplan.
Is this a single game you can order? without paying for the whole package?
you can get the entire weekend (all games on gameplan) for $26 on dish.

We outlanders might want to check Dish sports alternate channel 449 again when the schedule loads for Saturday..that's where SWX was last Saturday.

So I live in the Tri-cities area and I've got the local channels but I can't find SWX. Any ideas?

EDIT: Nevermind. Just saw on the SWX website that it's not available on satellite.

Try picking it up over the air. I can get it perfect by antenna in Spokane.

How about billings area? maybe i should just go to buffalo wild wings again... yeah, unless someone else knows where to catch a Griz game in Billings. thnx

This. I've got wedding to go to there Saturday afternoon , and I was thinking Hooligan's since it's close to the church and hotel we're at. Any idea if they'll give equal time to this and the scat game/will we have to deal with a bunch of bobcat assholes?

Htowngriz, Hooligan's is a good Griz bar. Though Saturday they will have a mix of both cat & Griz fans because of the overlapping game times. Even though the Montana game kicks off later than the msu game, the bar will tune in as many of their tv screens to the Grizzly game as are showing little brother's game in bozo. With both games on seating will probably be tight but Hooligans is a good choice if you're going to be in or near downtown Billings.

Where is Kalispell is the best place to catch the game?

Kalispell is in northwest part of the state about 2 hours north of Missoula. Beautiful country and not far from Glacier Park. Best place to catch the game? Mooses. And don't forget to ask them if you can blow the horn. If you can, everybody gets a round of beer including you.

Anyone know of a specific network/channel covering it for the Bison---independent of the Cowles telecasts? There's some stuff on the NDSU website, but it isn't very clear.

Thanks!
Assuming you'll be in Washington state, your best choice will be ESPN3 if your internet service provider carries it. NBC ND is just all the North Dakota NBC affiliates - doesn't help you. MidcoSN is Midcontinent Cable System's sports network - doesn't help you. ESPN GamePlan might become an option later in the week, but I wouldn't make plans based on it. Sometimes they pick up our game, sometimes they don't. If all else fails, go for the GoBison webcast. It should be the same feed as the TV broadcast, but we've had technical issues with Sidearm Sports in the past(the streaming service).

Where do you see this game will be on Midco SN?

Tried Wild Wings two weeks ago and no game. Went to Hooligans. They had the game.

That's interesting. Went to Buffalo Wild Wings in Bozeman and I had no trouble watching a Griz game there.

Place to watch in laramie?

There are several--ask Mr. Titleist from this forum--the Laramie expert. I was there for the Griz/Cowboy game and we "toured" a number of the local watering holes....REALLY enjoyed all of them. The Library is a good place as are all the others.

Two more...the Buckhorn is an "institution" (as it was described by the locals to us) much like Stock's In Zootown and the Altitude was another awesome bar.

Look's like the game will be on channel 460 on DISH for gameplan viewers. However, NOT in HD.

edit: and to make things worse, it no longer is on all access. Guess I'm paying $26 for a SD game.
