TV FOR LIBERTY GAME

Umista said:
U saying that direct TV will not carry the game unless we pay for ESPN-3 ??? Any Direct people have it figured? If so let us know. Thanks.

Go to WatchESPN and sign in through your DirectTV account credentials

Dang, not going to be able to see the liberty game. Im regretting tossing out the Xbox last year...

Get a Roku or a ChromeCast. The Roku can play ESPN3, or you can play the game off of your phone and project it on your TV using the ChromeCast.

For the extra $15 more for the ROKU stick, it looks to be superior to the Chromedast stick. The ROKU stick even comes with a remote. Really easy set up.
OK, so now I am ready for the Liberty game!
Go Griz!

ESPN3 is only available online as a website (espn3.com) or as an app on your iPhone or iPad (watch ESPN). In the past, your Internet Service Provider had to carry the espn3 network for you to access it. That has changed recently, which is great!

Now it's linked to who your TV provider/cable provider is. I have DirecTv and they are partners so I just enter in my directv credentials and have espn3 no problem. Same should go for Dish, Midcontinent, Charter, and many many others.

This game should be pretty accessible through those options.

I have Charter here in NV and that allows me access to ESPN3, so I can speak for Charter (which a lot of people have) that it does indeed work. If you happen to have an Xbox One, download the ESPN app. It is a slight process to sign in to it (gives you a site to go to and enter a code, then will direct you to your provider's site to login), but once you do, the app is freaking sweet!! I watched NDSU/WSU and EWU/UNI through it yesterday.

Agreed. We actually have both. For the money, get the slightly upgraded Roku... The USB stick is pretty slow compared to the units with a dedicated box.

Dear ESPN,

F*ck you.

Sincerely,

Everyone you screwed out of watching our beloved Griz because we don't get ESPN 3.

I don't believe this week's game requires a pass code or ESPN subscription:

http://espn.go.com/watchespn/index#type/upcoming/startDate/20150919/

You'll notice the lack of a key. Last I heard this was an ESPN3 Production which are always free for everyone as part of ESPN's deal with the Big South. Frankly we prefer it when we do our own production which we give to local affiliates like we did back in 2012 when we broadcast the game at your house.

I've seen your local production and it's pretty sweet! :thumb:

If you have dish or directv you will be able to stream it. Also with direcTVs sports pack many espn3 games are being broadcast on additonal channels. For instance ewu vs uni was on a directv channel last week even though espn3 was the only broadcaster. That list comes out later this week. Ill post here if i find directv will be showing it. Keep in mind this is NOT espn gameplan and there is not a single game view option. Just add the sports pack...which is 13.99 a month but you can add and remove it as much as you want

EWU/UNI was also on Dish.

This game will also be broadcasted on Cowles Montana Media, so those of you who struggle with ESPN3 won't have to worry.

In the beginning of this thread it was stated this has changed and it will ONLY be through ESPN3 now. That is why it's such a hot topic.

Thursday is when it will be available according to my sportsbar guru who has that directv sports package.

Okay this will set the record straight......

I literally just got off the phone with Cowles Montana Media. They WILL NOT have this game. They had it at one point but then ESPN came to the table with a lot more $$ and now has the broadcasting rights.

This means you will need espn3 access to watch the game. As stated before, the access to ESPN3 is way better than it used to be and depends on your cable/tv provider and is no longer linked to your ISP.

My understanding is that this will not be the case.
