I guess I should have specified... pregame was fine... tunnel run video lacked the quality & polish of years previous... hence the video was lame.

I hear ya...I just get tired of people bitching about "game day experience" when there's a boatload of us out here whose entire "gameday experience" revolves around either a TV screen in a bar or a laptop with choppy streaming video and no audio.

I guess we should have said that it didn't suck, it just wasn't as big as it has been in previous years. The crowd seemed timid in the beginning of the game and wasn't as jacked as it usually was.

One thing I noticed (on my computer laptop) was that there were a lot of empty seats at kickoff...guess the whole "ticket stub-gate" had more of an effect than one would have thought...

I thought the whole process was pretty fast & painless...

The tunnel video was the same (or pretty close) to last years with new people of course. If I remember correctly eGrizzers seemed to like it last year. The only bad thing about it to me is that the audio is significantly delayed which is distracting. The rest of the pre-game was intro of families which was well done, the usual band stuff which was well done, Monte and Mo entrance which was slow, had no excitement and little crowd reaction. South Dakota came out at the same time as the Griz which resulted in an odd mix of boos and cheers. I go for the game so pre-game isn't a big concern for me but it wasn't much this time. Article in the Missoulian this past week said they are working out insurance issues for the skydivers.

Sorry some of you don't get to go to the games but saying those who do can't complain or can't have expectations beyond actually having a game is a bit ridiculous.

Also, why is it that those who attend games only occasionally think those of us who attend every game are never loud enough, passionate enough or in the stands enough? Most of the occasional crowd I know go so occasionally they forget about the game and miss the first several minutes of every half because they are too busy at the tailgates.

I thought the pre-game was fine. We had two "first timers" with us that were very impressed. The video is good except that you couldn't hear what the players were saying very well. I am in the N End Zone so maybe it was just me. Second, I prefer Monte coming in on a Harley simply because the rumble from the tunnel is awesome. It appears they change up the entry every week so the quiet Mustangs, although pretty cool, did not have the impact of a loud Harley. And lastly, it was parents introduction which are nice, but not very exhilerating.

Regarding the Mustangs.......none of them were dark red or marroon! They should have called me. Mine is all Grizzed up right down to the valve stems. Next year.........CALL ME! :thumb:

Not as lame as sitting in a hotel room watching the game on ESPN3 on a 15 inch laptop.

Ya'll should appreciate what you've got...there's thousands and thousands of Griz fans across America that would KILL to change places with you and experience that lame pregame show in person.

So, because we choose to live here, pay scenery tax every pay period, don't have pro sports or concerts at our whim, and pay the highest ticket price in FCS we should just thank our lucky stars that there is a game and shouldn't have expectations that the people that plan pre-game put some thought and effort into it. If it wasn't for the band there wouldn't be any pregame and you can say that about 99% of colleges across America. I just enjoyed being in the top 1%.

Not saying that at all. I'm saying you should stop bitching about a game-day experience that's better than 99% of the colleges across America. :D
