TSN picks the Chickens over Griz

PR, you are doing nothing but making my point for me.

I am not sure how good the BSC is compared to other conferences so I use OOC games as a measure. You then tell me I am cherry picking. How do you compare the BSC to other conferences without comparing the OOC schedules? How does considering the conference games influence this comparison?


Last week you chose the facts that were positive for UM to state why you thought UM was more deserving of a seed while disregarding or minimizing facts that countered this. NAU fans did the same thing. For every fact and opinion you can present, there is a counter argument that is just as valid to them. You can never accept that the other guy might be right.

My take right now is I am not sure how good the Griz are compared to teams from other conferences. The Big Sky has not done very well in OOC games, and the performance of NAU and SUU today did not help the BSC. I do believe that the Griz win this Saturday.

how bout this one? ...we smashed App st, who beat Georgia southern, who beat florida! there is an OCC comparison that you failed to look at....damn BSC is looking pretty solid now? how bout OSU taking Oregon down to the wire. Damn bsc isnt looking so bad ourside of a fluke where we failed to show up against NAU. Guess we will see huh?

The EWU win over Oregon St was nice considering it was against an FBS opponent, however, even though the Beavers lost a close one against the Ducks (who have been in destruct mode similar to the Bobcats finale) they were like 6-6, thus clearly not even close to a top 25 team. For that reason the win doesn't even come close to touching what App St did to Michigan back in the day because although the Wolverines dropped from #5 out of the poll they only lost 3 more games and finished ranked #18.

Therefore their victory was much like the Griz win over App St, a win over a top 25 team that was ranked in the preseason, but did not belong when it mattered most. So all the blowhard Eagle fans can get bent for running their mouths about the Griz win over App St. The Beavers got pounded all season, just like a Beaver should.

I did not read the entire thread before posting. I responded to a position he took earlier & held on to. Later I see that he says the Griz would win. Why didn't he say that in the first place? He said he agrees w/ TSN's reasoning. So, why didn't he simply add that despite that reasoning, he thinks the Griz would win, in the first place?

I read that and it looks like reasoning why the guy from TSN may have made his pick. I am not sure this is his position. It seems he does not believe the Griz have beat anyone, but does not seem to say he believes they will lose.

Actually Grizindabox, the part about "Not beating anyone worth a crap" isn't necessarily true. It's an opinion. There are A LOT OF FOOTBALL COACHES out there in the Big Sky and FCS right now, that say that Portland State, Cal Poly and South Dakota to name a few, are damn good football teams regardless of the record. I'll sure as hell take Beau Baldwin's word, who said both Portland State and Cal Poly were VERY GOOD, over yours. Joe Glenn also thinks the Griz are a "great" football team. I'll take Joe Glenn's word over yours any day.

I also do not see him say he agrees with TSN's prediction, but he can understand why people are picking against the Griz. I will admit that he does question the strength of the Big Sky and of the Griz. He does say that he is not sure how good the Griz really are, but does not say they are bad.

Oh come on. Nobody agrees with you. Where do you read in that post, and in his next 6 posts, that he believes the Griz will win. He made 7 posts in support of the TSN pick. Not until his 8th post, on the 2d page, did he change his mind. Dozens of posts knew what he was saying. Surprising that you act like you don't.

No, he made multiple posts stating that he can see why others are down on Montana and the Big Sky and would possibly pick against the Griz. I do not see anywhere that he picks CCU or actually agrees with the TSN pick.

Helena, quit trying to defend me. PR has issues with me already and will twist anything to serve his purpose.

I do believe the Griz will win on Saturday, never thought any different.

I do believe that the BSC has done poorly OOC and am not sure how good the conference really is.

I do believe the Griz have not beaten any good teams, hence I am not sure how good they really are.

I could care less about whether UM or NAU got seeded, but think both had arguments.

I do know that the performance of SUU and NAU yesterday have not helped the perception of the Griz or the Big Sky.

I do not agree with the TSN pick, but based on what I have posted here, can understand why people outside the Big Sky may pick against the Griz.
