TSN Offensive POY Watch List

...they aren't getting their names on the back of their jerseys while Stitt is selling shirts at the university store with his name on them. I doubt they will even play this year..

Who can confirm this? I must admit that I did think it was odd to see Stitt on the team poster that usually has been SENIOR dominated. I sure hope that everyone is on the same page over there.

i hope so as well..........as i am really looking forward to this season

maybe we should consider that Stitt is being advertised because he is the new coach and coming in with a new (non-delaney) game plan (now that is exciting in itself)......and all this Stitt t-shirt poster stuff is trying to get the public to embrace him before the season starts......it is hard to think that this guy is wanting all this plastered bs, he probably is thinking the same thing we are about it, but maybe he has to go along with it to make his paycheck providers happy.....
most marketing strategies are not fun to watch
Anyone that went to the Wyoming game last year saw how heavily they were advertising Bohl. If I remember correctly their poster had him front and center similarly to ours this year with Stitt. I think it's pretty standard for programs that are stuck in neutral to really brand a new hire.

This is kind of funny. Jones is on a NFL watch list, but not a FCS watch list.

In all seriousness, if the plan is to rotate, what?, 15? WR in and out of the game, it will take away offensive #'s(as the ball will be spread around to more people) for your WR's which may take away from needed stats for some of these awards. NFL scouts will recognise the talent if they feel they have it, whether the #'s are big enough for post season awards or not.
Ok I just pulled up Stitt's teams stats from last year.

81 Logan Woish......... 3 1 0.3 2 0.7 2.0 0 2

Quarterback on top and receivers. Should note that Tevin Champagne was also a 1000 yard rusher. Yeah his team spread the ball to quite a few receivers, but they had some star power as well.

Edited to highlight total amount of catches and TD's.

If things go as well as hoped, in Stitts O perhaps your POY candidate here is the QB. Whomever that might be.

These guys are NOT at odds with Coach Stitt! Everyone seems very excited about the forthcoming season. Especially our WR group. However, I have said it for the past several years here & will state it again right now...

DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!

100% agree but nothing like a solid offense to complement the defense. I'm curious to see how much time the defense is on the field with Stitts offense.

A lot more.

With how often you give us the ball, that may be a good thing.

Wrong, as always. Mines had an average TOP of 31:21 last year. Not great, but not terrible, either.

False our vanilla offense last year had more three and outs than I can ever remember. We couldn't get first downs to save our life it seems and our defense lived on the field. I think our defense will actually be on the field less this year because of the ability to hopefully generate first downs and longer sustained drives

It's going to be so satisfying watching Prukop et al dismantle your assess this year. :)

Thank you IronBeagle for the prediction of death!! Anything you ever claim, the exact opposite happens so we will take it! Remember when you said the cats would destroy the Griz last year without Prukop....and that you'd guarantee it.....and to mark it down.....that worked out well for you!

Keep your incredible predictions coming!

I got one for ya hookedonjizz, grizz go 0 in 3 to start the season. :thumb:

Sweet! I'll take a 3–0 start any day especially considering our first 3 opponents. Good call ironbeagle!

The Ron Ash model for QB recruitment is basically as follows:

1. I will schedule some cupcakes early on so the C.A.T.S. crowd can have some fun, and you will have some ridiculous stats against said cupcakes.

2. We will air it out against legit competition in conference so your stats will still look good even though we will be less than my target of .500 ball in the middle of the season because I don't know what defense is.

3. We will collapse in the latter part of the season, and I will publicly blame you for it. It's not my fault. I'm Ron Ash.

Who wouldn't want to sign up for that?

Hay!

You just go ahead and shut the fuck right up there, Ron. You know you are the least player-friendly coach in the history of Division I athletics. What is your secret? Because, if you can get even one player to agree to play for you, I think I could convince Mila Kunis to marry me using the same tactics.

Cal Poly's Chris Brown should be on the list.

9 Chris Brown
Height: 6-2
Weight: 200
Year: Sr
Hometown: Compton, CA
High School: Dominguez HS
Position: QB
Experience: 3V

2014:

Rushing: 249 carries for 1265 yards (5.1 average) and 17 TDs. 105.4 yards rushing per game.

PASSING: 102 of 171 (60%) for 1,465 yards and 12 TDs with 3 INTs.

Against Montana:

Rushing: 21 carries for 226 yards and 2 TDs.

Passing: 9 of 17 for 107 yards and a TDs.

Led the 11th ranked offense that average 483 yards and 34 points a game. Cal Poly's offense returns 9+ starters in 2015.

I may sound crazy but this kid as the single biggest difference maker on ANY team in the conference. He's once dynamic player with the ball in his hands. If this kid played for the kitties I would be terrified. Prokup is a really good athlete but Chris Brown is an elite athlete. I second that emotion. Brown belongs on this list!

Eagle, you will realize after losing to Oregon, Northern Iowa, Montana State, Sac st., and Cal Poly, that, by gum, Vernon Adams is the reason we won!
You have a potential 0-5 or 1-4 start!
Before you start spouting off about our start, look out!

Ironbeagle is a cat fan who is simply too embarrassed (rightly so) to admit it, so he trolls as an ewoo fan. But the cats could be 1-4 as well, so your point's still valid.

Wentz (if allowed to) could have massive numbers this year with Crockett gone and ZACH VRAA & RJ URENDOWSKI back as wrs

I expect him to put up big numbers this year, you can talk system all day but Crockett was the man. He'll put it up quite a bit.

Yea I love j crock. But with those 2 wrs & a 6th year TE it'll be interesting if we get away from ground & pound
Holy shit, 6th year? Did this guy do a mission or something?

Vraa and Urz are definitely top tier guys, they'll see plenty of passes coming their way. Although, to get away from the ground and pound there has to be some depth at WR.
