Trying to become a more historical fan!

larry donovan was an important figure in the success of the griz, despite his teams being pretty mediocre. his biggest contribution was doing the heavy lifting to get wa-griz built. he was fired before it was finished, and read got to enjoy the fruits of his labor.
Harley Lewis was the main force behind wa-griz being built.

I don't care if people argue with me or agree or disagree. I support the Griz and understand football and prefer the discussion to be based on reality and facts. And, if someone jumps at me, I often jump them back. If you aren't jealous, why do you keep bringing up those things. Do you really not know that I'm intentionally jabbing at you, and others. You have no money and no girlfriend, but you have an enjoyable life? How long with that last?
Jack, other than contributing a paltry amount of financial support (which you have confirmed) and coming on here and giving Bobby internet hand jobs, just how do you support the program?

Hey just trying to learn a bit more about the history of our team and would love if everybody that’s willing could comment a specific player and a great griz memory of them it would be awesome :)
Another history lesson for you. Terry Dillon, who unfortunately many Griz fans only know as an award and the other retired number on the Griz roster. An amazing two way player in the early 60's that was drafted by the Viqueens and earned a starting safety job as a rookie. Unfortunately he met a tragic death the following spring while working on a bridge west of Missoula and drowned. As you might know, the Terry Dillon award goes annually to the best back/receiver on the Griz team.
