He was at the gym the other night the same time I was.. boy, that's a humbling experience.. bench pressing next to an NFL linebacker.

Bama is right. The Dolphins have four undrafted rookie linebackers from solid FBS programs. And yes, PlayerRep is right that the Dolphins are thin at linebacker. It's unlikely that Tripp will crack the starting lineup but I expect him to be a major contributor on special teams and a rotational player at times throughout the season. He will make the final 53.

This is my view too.

Yeah, just like your boy Snyder making the NFL. We all remember your astute predictions.

Tripp got his first NFL start last weekend. Atlanta Griz got another one wrong.

And, for the record, Growler had said that Snyder would never kick in an NFL game, and Snyder ended up kicking in preseason games for 2 years and NFL Europe for a season.

Almost everything that Dill/Atlanta has ever posted has proved to be incorrect.

"Middle linebacker Jordan Tripp got good reviews from coach Gus Bradley for his performance Sunday against Indianapolis while filling in for Paul Posluszny.

In his first NFL start, Tripp played all 72 defensive snaps and the run defense held up as Frank Gore had just 60 yards in 16 carries. Tripp had four tackles.

Bradley said they had early issues with the calls and getting players lined up, “but it was for a very, very short period of time. Maybe a couple of plays. One or two plays here and there.’

“So I thought how he managed the huddle, how he directed traffic, how he took ownership of it and how he handled it, I just thought he did a really, really good job under the conditions he went into,’’ Bradley said. “So I was very, very pleased with that. Again, I don’t know if there was anything where he stood out with big plays, but I think he did a lot of things really well. I’m pleased with his first opportunity and I think he’ll continue to grow from it.’’
