Kid involved in the incident was not the son of a major athletic supporter--just a fan and season ticket holder. I encouraged the family to contact Bobby, and they did. That's how Bobby found out about the matter.

If this was just a "series of skirmishes" that the kid was "partially responsible for" that night, why would you encourage the family to contact Bobby?

So that Bobby would know, for sure, some of his guys were involved in an incident (and could look into it and take any appropriate action).

The Kaimin story or stories had numerous inaccuracies and some incorrect insinuations. My recollection is that the Kaimin article said Bobby contacted the dad. It was the other way around. Again, I'm pretty sure the kid was not a student at the time. He wasn't in that frat, but did hang around there. The Kaimin knew of the earlier parts of the story, i.e. other skirmishes, but neglected to include them. Presumably, because they wanted to slant the story the way they did. Recall that the Kaimin was being advised at that time by that loser out-of-state media guy, who eventually was apparently asked by the university to leave, is my recollection. The Kaimin's coverage of sports and the Johnson trial is good now. Different reporters. Different advisors.

Hauck never discussed, publicly, any of his disciplinary actions and incidents like this--so this approach by him was nothing new. There was no attempt by Hauck to keep this out of the press or covered up. My god, the two guys didn't suit up in the first game. Does anyone really think Bobby didn't expect anyone to notice? I think I once counted that Bobby kicked off a dozen players while he was at UM. I don't recall him talking about any of those situations, but I suppose maybe he said something a few of them.

Normally good attorneys (or even bad ones) won't put their name on an opinion piece assuming it will greatly diminish their customer pool.

You apparently are unaware of Treiweilers LONG history of political lackeyism in Montana. Trouble is he wasn't very succesful. (thank heavens) He was sent to the supreme court to protect the gravy train of work comp settlements a number of his ilk were dependent upon. This was after the legislature FINALLY put an end to it. But not before we ended up with some of the highest Work Comp rates in the nation and as result a very unfriendly business climate. That little work comp debacle was much a nail in the coffin of forrest products as anything ever was. A lot of attorneys made a lot of money, their clients didn't do so well. Williams trotting him out after is welcome absence is pitiful at best.

You on the other hand need to take a second psych course before you go about diagnosing fictitious personalities on the internet.

+1... a close friend of mine asked me to vote for Terry tree well many years ago, and donate to his cause. I asked a few questions and I received very few direct answers. Consequently I neither voted for nor donated to tree well's election cause. My friend was a I.A. attorney and products liabilities. The guy was slanted before he hit the bench... uke:

All I'll say is there is NO WAY getgrizzy isn't trolling here. I won't dispute some of what he says is factual. OBVIOUSLY Beau Donaldson raped a girl. Way to go out on a limb there man. Did the UM need to make some changes in regards to its football program? Of course it did. never said he didn't beat her. no physical evidence was brought in to show that he did. just using a playerrep tactic against him. pr can't handle the truth so he often says things in a way that can make someone, for instance, guilty of one crime look like a saint because they're not guilty of a more serious crime. a sort of suspension of disbelief or magic act. my favorite example is when he says beau isn't a thug. this infuses a human side into an otherwise horrific story in an attempt to get people to suspend their judgment of beau. that one is real easy to pick out, but he's able to sneak that technique in on less serious matters. it isn't too hard for him to pull off since he's essentially preaching to the choir. as for myself there's a desire to get things under control so i remove myself from my strict fan goggles and try to be objective. it's not easy making headway on this board as you can see and i admit my approach may be part of the problem. it is what it is i guess.
