i been a griz fan for over a few years and i know this: um has never had a black qb and probly never will until they are D1. til then we have to work with the soljas we have...wich means that TMAC is the best option for this team.
You Know Trent McKinney is black right?

u may not know it but that is racialism. he is actually hawaiin-american but to many whites anyone who aint like them is "black". sometimes i feel like the only non white poster on this forum.

:bad: :bad: :bad:

How could you forget Bowling "Green" transfer Jason "weed" Washington, owner of 420 Motoring?

Maybe that is the problem with the Griz. They have too many white players LOL.

Thats not funny simply because there is an extremely large portion of our fan base that believe that black players are more "athletic".....bigger stronger faster......but that simply isnt the case.
it isn't? Show me a white guy that can do what RG3 does.
Steve Young, Aaron Rodgers and Andrew Luck

Luck had a better veritcal than Cam Newton during the NFL combine. Both Luck and RGIII are having great season's for rookies though.

Tom Brady after the Monday night game, pretty funny:
“I don’t run too often so I’ve got to show them I can still do it a little bit,” Brady said. “All the people out there, the opposing defenses that say I can’t run, at least they saw. I’m not a big threat, I’m not RG3 or anything, but I can make a first down.”

Other than above I'm not getting into this debate. Having more fun observing. **where is the popcorn icon like on Maroonblood.com?**

Not possible according to some on here, Luck is white and Cam is hyped.............you are wrong, Luck can be a "high motor guy" or "more athletic than you think" but he can never be a better athlete..............

Maybe athleticism isn't as important at QB? Does anyone think Peyton Manning is, or ever was, more athletic than Vince Young or Mike Vick? Doubt it. Hey, which one of those guys is the better QB? I think intelligence, coupled with needed athleticism, is more important in a QB. Carry on..... However, Terry Bradshaw defies that contention with vigor.

Athleticism is cultural, not biological, you dumbasses.

And patronizing "culture" as paramount is a "circular line of reasoning," which is counter-productive.

Kulturkampf

Wait, who "patronized culture as paramount?" You lost me. But then, I'm a natural athlete and therefore not that smart.

If you can throw accurately, you can throw accurately doesnt matter what color you are.

The fact that Vick, V. Young, McKinney, Jawalrus Russell, suck at being QBs isnt because they are black its because they are not accurate and they never will be.

Guys like RGIII and Freeman can throw accurately hence they are decent QBs.

Couple this with the fact that the racist media has to shove a black QB down your throat every week (just like Limbaugh said years ago) to make up for things that never happened to any of the people they are trying to make things up for...............is very very Costas with a Florio chaser.

I agree with this comment. Commentators always talk about what "Freak Athletes" Mario Williams, Demarcus Ware, and Jason Peirre Paul are. But JJ Watt, Chris Long, and Clay Matthews Jr. are all "high motor, energy guys"

SSH was brutally incompetent. His passes were floated not fired. He cannot run & he gave up when under pressure. TM does have potential as a QB, but they pulled him away from the valuable experience he needed to have as a Freshman.

SSH played decently when he was asked to pass and hand off the ball. I have no idea who's idea it was to have him running the option vs Bozo, that is not in his skill set at all. Hell if you put Drew Miller in and had him doing the same crap they had SSH doing the last game you would think he was awful as well.
TMac well, I'm with Alpha on this you gotta be able to throw accurately, if you can't running won't save you.
Also, it sure seemed to me that Tmac got pretty gun-shy of running after taking a few hits. He seemed pretty eager to give it up on the option really early.

You thought SSH was accurate in the Griz-Cat game??? SMH

No I'm saying he was being asked to do stuff he simply could not do, did that affect his accuracy?
Maybe, maybe not, her certainly didn't look good that game. But as I said if you start asking your
players to do things they simply cannot do, is that the players fault or the coaches?

Example, Scott Gragg your an All-American lineman now get out there and play free safety!
Yeah thats probably extreme but you get my point.

The thing he was asked to do that he wasn't good at was RUN..That had nothing to do with passing. He threw the ball 45 times in the Griz-Cat game.

I am on the wagon if McKinney turns out to be our guy. I actually do think he will be a better impact player next yr. he had enough splinters the remaining season. If he thinks he is not ready, then he is not a a Griz caliber QB. He is fast, he is smart, he just needs that pass to hit the target... Go Trent we have faith in you keep your head up! Go Griz!!!

I honestly think we are being way too hard on all our QB's collectively.

Inexperienced QB's, inexperienced WR's, new OC, new head coach, all combined for a difficult transition.
IT takes time for young players to develop at any level. How about giving these guys time? WOW, I guess anything less than a hall of fame type results just don't work for some of you.

No that's not it. Expectations being too high definately was not the problem. The problem is the majority of us saw a back-up Frontier Conference caliber QB playing in the Cat Griz game.

Elbow greese and experience will not make them more accurate passers. Nothing will, it's over.

Exactly. Coaching staff screwed up big time!
