McKinney did it all on Saturday, rushing for 206 yards on 17 carries, scoring four times, and completing 26-of-36 passes for 297 yards and two more scores. His 503 yards broke the GNAC individual mark.

Good for him!

I watched Mines play Black Hills St. a couple of weeks ago and McKinney had a much rougher day (against a much better team). In that game, he lost a fumble, threw an INT and while he made some nice throws, he also missed some he should have connected on (it was, actually, kinda reminiscent of his time starting for the Griz). He ended up getting pulled in that game because of an injury....apparently a minor one as he never missed a start afterward.

Don't know if it's just the flak jacket he wears, but it looks like he's put on a bit of weight since his Griz days. Not necessarily a bad thing as he was fairly scrawny as a freshman.

He's having a hell of a year for his team. Too bad they have a terrible defense (giving up 43pts a game).

He's leading or in the top 5 of many offensive categories for that conference too through 4 games.

I always felt he had the ability to do that at UM. I think if Phlugrad had coached in 2011, his system would have been much better suited for TMs talent and we make the playoffs easy. No question in in my mind, we had a loaded team in 2011 despite JJ not playing.

JJ didn't play in 2012 and that ended up being Delaney's first season as coach.

Lost opportunity here for us,best wishes to TM!

Good for him, an exciting brand of football to watch.
